Would re-implementing Fortify be possible?
So I was looking around on the League of legends Wikia and found this a summoner spell called Fortify. Thought it looked neat and had an idea.
I was thinking if it would be possible to implement Fortify in a way that wouldn't be as broken as it originally was and could be used either bot lane (by supp) or top lane or even mid for teams that are getting destroyed by snowballing champions. There are many champions who can tower dive you at little cost when they get extremely ahead or are able to destroy your tower while you're attacking them and instantly destroy you afterwards. (E.G. Renekton, Yasuo, Draven, Riven, Yorick I suppose) I was thinking of some nerfs it could have to make it work.
Fortify Effects:
Grants 30 - 10% damage reduction to a selected turret within 1000 - 2000 units for 3/3.5 - 2 seconds and causes them to attack 50 - 35% faster for 4 seconds (Scales down due to comebacks being more easy in mid - late game compared to early game)
If a Rift Herald is the one attacking the turret, the turret will gain 25% damage reduction to the charge and 10% damage reduction to all other attacks. (Still takes the regular amount of reduction from champions, minions and pet damage)
This will make Herald not completely useless but will delay the lane from destroying a turret or 2 very easily (some players tend to have junglers come mid and just take over 2 turrets like it's nothing around 10 minutes in)
I know even snowballers could take this so they can prevent being tower dived, but if the Zed is 5/0/0 and has 200 health you really shouldn't think of towerdiving when he'll use Fortify, his combo and use W to dodge attacks. Or he'll just ignite and walk away when tower starts hitting you.
But yeah let me know if you think this is a good idea or not, and why or why not if you want. [galio-happy]
Edit 1: Changed Invulnerability to 30 - 10% damage reduction. Changed Herald Charge reduction to 25% from 70 and subsequent attacks from Herald to 10% from 20% Changed Attack Speed increase from 50% - 30% to 50% - 35%
