Use Player's Level to Determine Queing

I'm sick of being paired with trolls and noobs. Is LOL using player levels to match players in team games? I'm level; 150 fkg thousand! Why should I be paired with a lvl 30 potato player? Should never happen. EVER!

Hey Elderly Woman? Yes? We know you're a 10ft tall ogre, and we know you need to fight 5 other 10ft tall ogres, but we want to give you 4 hobbits to fight with. ... Good luck! Hope your rank doesn't suffer too much.

level is more about amount played, not skill so i'm going to disagree about level being used to determine matchmaking

It's not about replacing level with skill; don't think this OR that. Think this AND that. It's about adding it into the equation. I agree it should mostly be about skill, but for all the new players with skill...I'd rather be paired with experienced players with skill.

I'd much rather be matched with a relatively low level player who may be high skill (and just hasn't put the games to climb in yet) than a level 100+ player who almost certainly isn't climbing any further since they've got hundreds or even thousands of games played and so has likely reached their plateau.

I feel like you're assuming high-level (or 'experienced') is a good thing.

The highest level players are ones who actually just spam bots all day (as that's fastest xp due to 100% win rate), and are probably actually awful relative to their mmr since they have minimal PvP experience.

Theres also people with 1k games in bronze or silver or gold or whatever (and are hence high level), who are the ones who clearly aren't actually learning from their experiences, so there the relatively low player who might make mistakes is more likely to adapt and learn from those mistakes than the high level who makes mistakes and doesn't learn from them.

Now, maybe you might have a preference on which you'd prefer, but theres reasonable arguments for why someone might have a preference in either direction (I'd prefer the lower level, but you'd rather the higher level, assuming equal mmr), so it wouldn't really be fair for riot to implement something in one direction or the other.

I just want to be paired with similar players. I felt that mixing experience with longevity would be a nice fix. Say... 90% of your matchmaking is how good you are and 10% of your matchmaking is your time in service.

You're level 132.

Not "150 thousand"
