Hello everyone! I was spectating a Gnar today and I noticed that there is no cooldown on his W passive. I personally feel like that is unfair. Gnar already has the range on any melee tank / the ability to "jump" out of most dicey situations. He needs to have more weaknesses. Yeah i understand that when he isn't in Mega Gnar that he is "weaker" but he is still super strong when out of his Mega Gnar form. What do you guys think?
While I agree 100%,m i dont know if his W is where he needs to take a couple hits.
It's gated by Attack speed... The faster he is the faster he can proc it, which he rarely builds lots of attack speed as he is mainly a tank...
The thing is if you take away his w ability he CANNOT kite anymore, which mini gnar is designed around... mini is kiting while mega is about fighting. His range is there because the tradeoff of mini gnar is ranged harass for a very squishy champ.
I played a game today as

, and was able to win by a VERY small margin most of the times, but the fact is that I know i am not a gnar main, but the fact is the only way i was able to outdo a fiora was the fact the W speed boost is almost required to do anything vs the top lane bullies.
Question, is the % max hp the problem point or the speed boost?
So does Vayne need a cooldown on her Silver Bullets too? Sounds like someone got destroyed by a Gnar and just doesn't know how to play against him
Putting a cooldown on that would honestly make him unplayable. He's supposed to be a lane bully but is weak too in his mini/lane bully form...jump on him when his jump is down and he is pretty much dead
One does not simply win vs a gnar main.
The "cooldown" to Mini Gnar's passive is technically Mega Gnar. Part of Gnar's design is that each of his kit forms would be OP if they were allowed to go on forever, which is why Gnar inevitably switches between the two in combat. Because of this, Gnar gets to be a super-mobile kiter/chaser with anti-tank damage in his mini form, since he won't be able to do all that indefinitely.
When i play darius i rekt gnars considering i have 147k darius points and dunkmaster :^)
Isn't gnar one of the weakest top laners right now?
