Unfair Runes Page

Riot can you please give everyone the same number of free runes page at the beginning? I only have 2 and all my friends have like 5 or 11 or etc depending on the number of runes page they got before. I only had two because I couldn't afford buying more and now that all the previous runes pages were refunded, why would those who bought more still have the advantage? Especially all the runes are now free and fair to everyone. I understand that people may want to buy more runes page but can we just all have the same number to start with...2 is just a bit frustrating

Dude just get some with IP or i suppose the new BE. Wait for 2 for 1 sales and get double....

They addressed this already.

They refunded the rune pages people bought with in game IP, but some people spent $5 per rune page they needed in RP. Because they are undoing all the old Rune pages, it would be unfair to have people who spend actual money on this game which is free to play, get the items them paid for taken away. I understand your frustration, but with the new rune pages the way they are, (if you play fairly often, and learn the pages), should be able to play with 2 rune pages. More rune pages are basically for your convenience.

They gave skins for the RP purchased pages, didn't they?

Then there's not much other reason to this new system than making players pay/grind for their mastery pages from now on... (as it's hard to believe that renaming masteries to runes really can distract everybody this much)

If you bought with RP (real money) they gave you an epic skin for a champion you owned for every 4 rune pages you purchased, for supporting the old runes, and you got to keep the page.

If you bought with IP (in-game currency) you got an epic skin shard for a champion you owned for every 4 rune pages purchased and they refunded you BE equal to the IP you had spent, since you don't get to keep them because letting you keep them when you didn't pay for them is unfair to the people who paid money.

You're right, I just went back and found the Dev Blog where they discuss it. I will link it below. They mention you still get to keep all your rune pages since you put the time in to get them. I was mistaken in what I said previously.
