PLEASE get rid of secondary role in dynamic queue

I will happily wait as long as needed to actually get the role I want instead of having to dodge every time I get my secondary.

That or bring back team builder so I can pick exactly what I want every time.

I know how to play the other roles.

I don't find them fun at all.

Why would I play a game I know won't be fun?

Then keep dodging and making the queue hell for yourself and others. Mid is the single most contested role in the game, so I honestly wish you luck. I'd suggest finding something else you think is fun. You could always play a midlaner like Annie or Velkoz support if that's your thing. I think you'd have a lot more fun with the game if you tried to branch out a bit. Remember, there are other players trying to have fun too. Your fun isn't objectively more important than theirs, and some of them like mid best as well.

That would be a great idea if we had interest in more than one role. I only like support but some how end up with everything but supp. I now have to dodge and eat the lock out or play another role I am not as good at and get flamed, yelled at, cursed at, told to die, I suck, ETC. So yes I would rather not be forced into a role I do not like nor want to play.

I play assassin junglers (rengar, khazix, xin zhao) and jg is the funnest role for me. I don't like being forced to play rengar top because I'm stubborn and I want to play the champs I IP grind for ~5 hours to get. it sucks. and with other lanes, I'm not good at them and top, I dont want to babysit nasus all game. point is, Id like to not be forced to play a different role or dodge. I miss teambuilder.

I actually totally agree with this. I would be happy to wait an hour if I knew I was getting the role I wanted. Sometimes that's all I want to play. Or sometimes I'm chill with 3 options. I really don't think they've justified the 2 or 5 option, seems unnecessary, besides looking fancy.

The point of Dynamic queue is to broaden your skillset on the rift, whilst also keeping you on a comfortable position.

That's just obnoxious. I don't WANT to play anything but mid. There is not a single matchmaking option that let's this happen.

The thing is though that if your only focusing on one lane and not learning/playing the others your useless if there's another player wanting to mid who might be better at it than you.

There are some terrible arguments in this thread. Where do people get the idea that everyone needs to be able to play every role? That might have been true in the past when you could end up in any role, but with a better method of queuing existing it isn't even close to true. I'd much rather master one role than be a jack of all trades.

You should call up a professional goaltender in the NHL and ask them why they don't get better at offense. Call up Tom Brady and say hey man you need to work on your blocking and tackling to really round out your game. Absurd. People should be able to play the role they want to, whether that means alternating between 5 or just focusing on a single one.

This would be terrible for ranked, but should be an option for unranked games. There's no reason it shouldn't exist.

So many games are ruined by lanes being mains vs not mains. An ADC main will crush the poor guy who isn't an adc main.

Queue lengths for everybody plat+ would go to crap. Already spend way too long in queue. Also, smurfs getting their role 100% of the time is no bueno.

I played 6 games today with my primary mid and secondary top. Played top every single game and all i really wanted was to play mid :(

I quit a long time ago for years, and came back to play team builder because it meant I didn't have to fight for my role anymore. Now teambuilder is gone. I never played draft.

I play all kinds of roles but sometimes I just wanna learn a new champ (which in some cases requires playing pretty much the one role they're made for like Janna support) or even sometimes I just wanna practice a champ I don't use as much. It seems almost like Dynamic Queue has the definition of "Primary" and "Secondary" reversed because about 70-80% of the time I end up getting the role I choose for secondary and the few times I got my primary roll somebody would fail to lock in or dodge and then I'd be back in the secondary role again. What I found worked is I make the role I actually want to play my "secondary" role and most of the time I get it. It's kind of bananas and I really hope Riot finds a remedy to this.
