Is eve worth picking up? There's a lot of "she's viable" and "she's crap", I've been looking for a character to main and she seems fun but I'm stuck. Is she's worth it? or should I focus someone else despite my interest in her. Her skin's on sale and there's been effective play on her via youtube and good scores\win rates from players.
There is a couple viable paths out there. Just go simple and learn with the most viable route.
Although the build varies on the items you pick up against what enemies you are facing.

6th item always depends on comp and what is needed.
Boots always depend on whether you need to reduce auto attacks or be more resistance to cc.
Always pick up early game.

Evelynn is still a viable champion just one extremely hard to play in the current meta and is more reliant on enemy stupidity than anything else.
A good trick to abuse on solo que is pressing b after a light gank in the middle of the lane and pretending to b. Once you go invis don't actually go b and you can gank right away or go to another close lane to gank. This will piss off the enemy and work 75% of the time.
I used to main her last season as my main jungler but I moved away from her for I don't enjoy her current play style. I miss her assassination play style.
If she is fun for you, it is worth while. Just remember a lot of her power is in the strategic use of her passive rather than her numbers.
For reference, her win rate in the prior two patches was slightly above 50% in Plat+ across all regions. So yes, winning with it quite possible if you know what you are doing.
Im completely terrible garbage trashy crap with her but god is she so much fun to play :D soooo much fun.
I've mained eve 3 years, she's a lot of fun but a giant Headache, she's definitely not a late game carry she's more of a early Game support.
she's only good if the team doesn't have a lot of Hard CC for example if you got a Mid

on your team, eve can be really fun in the Early and late game, for example The nasus slow is very OP for early game eve ganks so you can really get nasus fed super quick, and when you go in and you get in trouble Tahm kench almost always helps you get out.
