I just played a game for the first time in 6 months, and the 2nd time in season 6 and...

...I remember why I stopped.

Look, I've been a LoL player for 4 years and I enjoy this game, or rather I should say that I want to enjoy it, but something just feels wrong.

I'm not saying that I expected after 6 months to not be rusty, but we got absolutely destroyed. And I was in a 4 man on voice chat with people who play much more than me, but the game in it's current state seems like it once was around the time of the old "assassin meta" (which I think was season 3 or maybe 4 I don't remember anymore) where the game is pretty much over at first blood. Except you don't have to have assassins for that to be true anymore. We lost 8/48 in 29 minutes, in a Nemesis game against a team of supports; (Bard, Janna, Zilean, also Cho'Gath and Singed) and the only reason it took that long is we didn't surrender when we could have, and they didn't really have the AD to burn down turrets, or I guarantee we'd have lost pre-20 minutes. (Bard built AD, and subsequently got the 2nd most kills.)

I thought "maybe it's just a bad game" but then I looked up LCS results and it seems to be the same for the most part. When a team wins, they win overwhelmingly, at all levels of play, most of the time. I mean like 6/26 or 3/14 scores like that that means the game was completely one-sided, especially when this is the case at pro-level play.

You either steamroll or get steamrolled, close games don't happen anymore. I know people hated on Season 5 "tank meta" cause games were "long and boring" and they were, but honestly this is worse.

It seems like the game right now is "avoid fighting at ALL COSTS until around the 20 ~ 30 minute mark cause by then you should have 1 or 2 completed items." Fighting before that is a 50/50 chance of throwing the game, or winning it, no matter who you are in what lane, or how early in the game it is. Am I wrong about this?

Even though I love this game, I have a really really hard time enjoying it when it seems like comebacks are just impossible and snowballing is how every game will be decided. The game went through this kind of meta before, is this what we want?

I know people will say "you shouldn't judge the game based on Nemesis Draft" but isn't the point of Nemesis to just play a wacky mode where nobody's going to be all that good with their champs/team comp? Including ostensibly, the other team? It's like an ARAM on Summoner's Rift basically. I can tell you, it didn't feel like that at all, it felt like a random team of supports were able to get 3 early kills and then completely manhandle us for as long as they wanted to until the game ended. At no point past the first kill (at around 2 ~ 3 minutes they double invaded and killed me in my own jungle) did it fee like we had even a chance to win the game. And we weren't even mad in voice chat, we kept calm, we kept playing, nobody blamed anyone, which I know can end a game real quick, but we still got completely peed on. Now I feel like maybe that's been the case for everyone this whole season.

Leauge of 50/50, individual skill be damned, one mistake is all it takes, that's a tough pill to swallow even once, let alone every time you lose.
