Something NEEDS to be done about DC/AFK in ranked games...just lost 20 LP because of a Blitzcrank that never loaded into the game. Why is there no mitigation for ranked losses due to a player that did not connect to the game at any point??

Because if people did not like the match up they would simply never connect and just get the loss forgiven or whatever you are suggesting.
