What happened to me when I got a chest

Redirecting this as I didn't know at first where to post this and a rioter helped point me in the right direction so I'll just copy what I said before. I can't even describe the disappointment on opening a chest. Let me explain. Ever since some change happened I get far fewer chests now in ARAM for whatever the reason. I don't play normals because I don't really have any friends that play so ARAM is just more ideal as its not a big deal if I lose. It had been awhile since I earned a chest from a champ that I own in ARAM(not sure if you can see the last time I have or not but to me its been awhile, maybe not.) and so I was so excited to open a chest as I earn a bunch of key fragments but little chests(used to be the other way around but oh well). The amount of disappointment I felt when I opened the chest and all it gave me was a Maokai champ shard was beyond disbelief. What's the point to even get those kinds of chest if I already get those with level up capsules? I honestly felt so rewarded in that moment for playing so well since no one else really notices it since I play solo just to be put down like that. This isn't asking to give me something else but to address the fact that, as a long term player, I do not like getting champ shards from the already hard to earn chests. We already have level up capsules. I don't think we honestly need champ shards in chests. I am not blaming who ever answers or even just reads this, but just maybe we could change that. That feeling that went from joy to just depressed seeing what I got. Why is it like that?
