In-game level abuse

Has anyone else experienced players abusing the leveling in-game? Ive notice enemy players being afk, then coming into play later when everyone is around level 5-6 and they are level 1, and within 15-20 seconds they go from level 1 to level 5, without having to play the game. It seems a bit unfair for those players to get a level boost just to catch up to the rest of the players. Not sure if that would be a bug with the leveling system or players cheating, I have only noticed a few times but I am curious. Would love to hear some feedback from others who might have experienced this issue.

You can't be serious.

They also lose a lot of gold for doing that, so it's not a big deal. And they'll still reach level 6 later then everyone else.

This isn't exploitable; there's no real benefit to afk'ing and coming back later.

The way it works now is just something nice for a disconnected player that returns to the game late.

Experience gained from minions increases over the course of the game. The experience required to level up increases with levels as well.

A player connecting later in the game will still require the same amount of experience to level up (i.e. 100), but the minions will provide significantly more experience later in the game (i.e. 40) than they do early game (i.e. 5).

The experience system was intentionally designed for this result. There is no level or experience abusing in-game, and if they haven't been connected for the early levels you should still have an item/objective advantage over the enemy anyways.

Its not cheating, when you're around higher level teammates, you gain more xp.

I feel like it's too much, but then again, it kinda makes up for being bug splat for the first 5 minutes.
