Akali crisis.....

Let me first start by saying I haven't played Akali since idk season 4 maybe or 5 (only a handful of times) so maybe I am unfit to speak on this.... BUT Akali has just been through what I would say is one of the most roller coaster rides of a champion I have ever seen (I've been playing since 2011). They just cannot get her right shes either "busted" or she gets nerfed into a pit of irrelevancy almost Galio tier. Idk how many have seen her 10.2 projected nerfs but from what ive seen and heard it is not good and is going to gut the hell out of her (once again). My opinion is this, take her off the game for a few patches until you get her right because I think 2 weeks per patch to see if what you did was right is not working. She needs to be looked at more extensively and balanced out this going to need time apparently because she is on a constant roller coaster and her mains are pulling their hair out. Riot just take her off the game for a patch or 2 to get this right because this is ridiculous she can't even be played effectively busted or not. That is my suggestion is it the right thing to do? Probably not but its something to give the balance team time to actually get her right (or dare say rework a few things).

Yay or Nay people?

She's been "gutted" repeatedly, with no buffs in between. That's not a rollercoaster ride, that's skydiving.

The problem has always been pro play. Her high skill floor and skill ceiling combined with her inherent safety has made her pick/ban in the pro scene since her rework. We've been begging, pleading, with the devs for months to target her nerfs towards pro play, reduce her safety, reduce her waveclear, lower her skill floor, but they kept trying to tweak her damage, making it lower and lower until only the best Akali players who are actually abusing her animation cancels can actually get out enough damage to kill someone.

Now they finally are going after her safety, giving us the targeted R1 they've been threatening to do for months... With no compensation buffs. They've been nerfing Akali for everybody up until this point, now they're nerfing her for pros without making her better for the rest of us.

This is a good direction for Akali, but they need to give back some of the stuff they took from her so that she can actually be decent outside of the highest tiers of play.

Akali needs to be re-reworked. There's not other way about it. The champ has been nerfed more times after her VGU than she ever was in the eight years from her launch up until her VGU. It's patently clear that CertainlyT broke her and made her kit basically unable to be balanced.

If you don't see akali too often, its probably cause you're too low elo for people to know how to play her. Shes still an insane champion

No, that would just delay things. The rework was a complete failure and needed to be reverted on launch. However, we know riot is far too stubborn to do that or do another rework. That means that the only realistic solution is to let them change her so many times that she essentially becomes a different champion.

Unfortunately, that also means we have to deal with her in a semi toxic state until riot finally makes enough changes. Trying to remove her will just delay the process. With every change, she needs to be in the game causing enough problems so that riot is forced to change her even more.

the creature should be removed completely

no one has fun against it

it will never be balanced

Problem with Akali is her stupidly high skill floor and skill cap, leading to a champion who is permaban in masters+ and trash tier for silver plebs like me. Only option I see at this point is a re-rework.

she is trying to dethrone irelia as the nerf queen at this point
