I live in Canada (Eh) and I have around 80-120 ping. That is on high speed internet. On normal internet (not high speed) I get around 150 steady. With top of the line internet only getting 90 ping is trash. Putting a server would help everyone in New York (And Other close states) and would also help People in Canada! If you live in the region or would just rather play ranked with people that have better ping than Up Vote.

Assuming that those are west coasters that want to keep that advantage (and it is an advantage, I play at 150 ping on a mobile network and 110 ping with my home internet, if the difference between those is anything like the difference between 110 and 60, you can really feel it.)
Anything below 150 doesn't really make that much of a difference until you get to Master/Challenger Elo. Plenty of New Zealanders and Australians got to high Diamond (some of them got to Master/Challenger Elo) on 180-260 ping before we got our own server. I myself got to Gold 1 without much effort (funnily enough I ended up lower Elo on OCE than on NA, although I've improved since then).
Decision making, mechanics and predictions are far more important than reaction time. Reaction time can make a difference, but it's not that big of a deal, particularly in soloQ.
Lower ping won't get you out of Bronze Elo. Learning the basics of the game will.
They don't need a new server, they need a better fucking server.
Massive packet loss makes it ridiculously hard to last hit, ping constantly spikes from 110 to 300+ all the time.

They are 'building' east coast servers.. Look up east coast server roadmap, knowing riot it'll be ready in 2210
