So I was able to get to Gold Last season on 2 accounts. This season I didn't do well in placements and was put in Silver 3, but I figured it'd be fine I'd just climb, only to get demoted to Silver 4. Why is it suddenly so hard? Every one of my teams seems to be calling gg 3 minutes or trolling each other.
Is there something about the early season that I am missing?
untill the plats get back in their proper ranking, no it is not.
the beggining of the season is basically bronze/silver/golds hiding in normals untill plats+ get back into their proper ranking.
If I were you, I'd wait for pure Solo Que to be introduced. I don't want to play with a bunch of toxic premades or against premades. I also don't think rankings where queing an be Solo-5 man can ever be meaningful. Many of the player groups (for example, 5 man and solo) won't even interact and yet they will be rated on the same Dynamic Que ladder. It isn't a consistent equal environment between players so I consider it about as reliable as normals.
If you're lucky you'll be on a team with one of the plats lol
Wait until Dynamic Queue, and pray you don't get people who decide they want something else last minute.
Wait a good two months, & you'll be fine. It's a nasty storm of upset diamonds, plats, & trolls ready to ruin their matches, & what-not. it will clear up after a while. Personally, I was fine withSilver III. Going to shoot for the gold though when I start ranked back up.
People got used to dynamic que so now they don't like not getting one of their top 2 lanes. Also, I think riot placed everyone a division or two lower because of "promo helper" the thing that makes promos really easy the second time around.
