So why in the world are there still 4th division safety nets?

Literally the hardest areas to climb in are around the bottom of each bracket. And it's obvious why, and has been an ongoing problem for years. Riot took back the individual roles ranking system because people were trolling when they get offrole. Can't they tell that a very large portion of their playerbase is getting to the 4th rank of the highest division they can reach with their skill level, and then doing the same thing?

P4 and D4 games all come down to who had the most players actually trying to win, and it feels like absolute shit. Like I can tell in the first 3 minutes I lost the coin flip... and I'm just stuck with people who are first timing their champs and griefing for luls.

D4 and P4 games have nothing to do with the 4th division safety nets. Players in the D4 "safety net" have mmr in the p2-p3 range. They are playing in p2 games, not d4 games. Likewise, players in the p4 safetynet are playing in g2 games. The players trolling in d4 aren't even playing in the safety net, they are just regular d4 players.

I left the game exactly for the crappy Matchmaking. Best feeling ever. You should do the same, so riot game$ will acknowledge their priorities, and you're going to feel better too. It's a win win, and there are good games out there anyways

I would argue the first division always sucks because your still getting matched with players multiple divisions below OR above you at the same time imo. I'm in G4 right now and the amount of games I have STILL had a S4 or S3 on my team while the enemy has an average of G3 or G2 is insane. Hell I even had a Bronze 2 in my fucking game that went 0-13... You can argue "RaNk DoEsNT MaTtEr" but if it didn't these players wouldn't be inting every time they get put into these games. Overall, MMR is broken and has too little to do with your actual rank thus making lopsided matches. It seems to have alot of trouble creating fair games at division 4 of a rank because it can't decide which rank to grab players from. IMO if you reach the 4th division of a rank you mechanically not be allowed to match with players under that rank unless your duo is under that rank. for example, if your S4 you only match with S+. no bronzes, no irons. Pls and ty.

I mean if the semi safety net in plat didn't exist I woulda plonked straight back down to gold under circumstances I mostly couldn't control. My poor play was directly responsible for 3 of my losses so far, and I really didn't do much for the single win as my mid lane snowballed like a mad fker so all I did was play "protect the carry". However the rest of the losses are of no fault to my teammates either, as based on in-lobby searches we were being set up to fail. Consistent 2-3 autofills per game, at least one of them was generally in the adc position and the second was top more often than support. Generally resulting in a bot lane that didn't know how to control their wave (shoving it in generally) making them gank cakes for the enemy, and giant walls for myself Some of these poor souls were low silvers for crying out loud. Pair this with the egotistical brats that plague the 4th division of silver+ ranks because they feel their new shiny loading screen border means something, and you have teams of 5 who seem to want to go out of their way NOT to work together, because "I'm X rank so I;m better than you".

Personal gripe, but generally when you block someone, you reduce the chances of finding them again if possible. The shocking amount of double up, autofill blocked players astounded me. Like is there srsly no one else? Is that stupid 2min queue really this important?
