Is it possible to create a armor aura item?

I know at the point I said armor aura item someone will say is what I need, but what I really want is something like old 's W that gives nearby teammate increased armor. As a support main, there are many support items are heavily focused on magic resist/ap, such as /. When I am facing a full or heavy ad team, I feel like these items cannot help me to create enough impact to the game. May be the shield provided from can help with teamfights, but the magic resist don't really help with the team. Some of you may say that go pick into facing those comps, but what if your adc/mid laner needs a bit of heal? Now the provide magic resist and health regen, would it be possible to reverse this thing and make a item that provide armor and mana regen to teammate?

I'm pretty sure they're planning on doing away with aegis and its mr aura since they're a huge pain to balance, and they're extremely unlikely to make a similar one for armour for the same reason.

Currently aegis is basically a must-buy on most teams (typically on support) since it's really impactful, yet at the same time it doesn't feel impactful. An armour aura would end up in the same place of being must-buy on most teams (again probably on sup), and ideally they want more decision making and flexibility in builds not less. Supports have limited budget in the first place, so being 'stuck' buying sup item/sightstone/boots/locket/<armour aura item> would leave only 1 (or two if you go for the eye item) slot of freedom, and even getting to that point in a support build isn't that realistic.

its not a huge pain to balance rather becomes a mandatory item that crowds out other items

Well it's mandatory because things are balanced around it.

Either all items/champs/abilities are balanced assuming certain levels of MR, in which case everyone having an extra 10-15 MR is going to be quite impactful, or they're balanced with that extra MR, in which case people are going to be hit particularly hard if a team doesn't have an aegis/locket/banner.

U right bro, I wasn't thinking in depth about the itemization, may be this could make like the support item or jungle item that has a similar build path but u can only choose either one? I kinda miss the old aegis (the one with both armor and mr). To your point, I personally think that people will mainly choose either one of the item because theres no point to buy a aegis facing a full ad team if we have a better choice.

Facing a full ad team rarely occurs outside of low elo though.
