Why do Last 3 picks get a ban if being first two picks mean nothing if u dont get your'e role?

Riot says if u don't play what they assign you...you can get banned. So what is the benefit of picking early? The very first pick is worth because you can pick a overpowered champ that was left out of ban phase..the next three picks get fk'd because you get countered..and sometimes your'e forced to play a off role that you did not want in the first place.I think 2nd,3rd,4th pick should be allowed to ban or set it where if you are 2nd,3rd,4th pick you always get your primary role.Thoughts?

That's actually a pretty good point.

Considering the strength of counter-picks and how useful it is to be last pick, this seems acceptable.

or set it where if you are 2nd,3rd,4th pick you always get your'e primary role.

I see this heavily conflicting with matchmaking, as matchmaking's 2 primary goals are:

  1. match players of a similar skill level together.
  2. start a match and get it underway in as little time as possible.

Forcing only primary roles would mean longer queue times.

Also: if you're irked you got your secondary for the 9th time in a row, there's nothing stopping you from asking your team-mates if they want to trade rolls. Just because matchmaking places your icon in, say, support while you're teammate's is displayed in jungle doesn't prevent either of you from agreeing to swap positions. Seeing Soraka in the jungle and Lee Sin+Smite in the support lane pre-game display doesn't force you to go in those lanes after all.

With trading champions still being a thing: you can also swap lanes with flex-picks. Your top wanted to run Vladimir but got counterpicked hard? Mid and top lane can just agree to switch the positions matchmaking choose for them, running Vlad mid and allowing your "mid" lane to run Irelia top.

If you're irked about wanting your primary roll: nothing's stopping you from using the same exact strategy people used prior to the current matchmaking system and just talking to your allies to figure things out.
