Old, Unused Runes In My Inventory

So I have a couple unused runes in my inventory that I bought when I created my account back in late 2010. But I've been level 30 for a long time now so I have no use for my tier 1-2 runes. I also remember the rune combiner, but I didn't have enough lower tier runes to use it.

Question is : has Riot ever thought of anything for us veteran players to get rid of/use our old runes?

Thanks

PS: I didn't know which LoL Board category to post this in, so I put it in here. I hope I put it in the right category :^}
