Rerolled twice in ARAM, ended up with the same champion I started with.

Hey! I play ARAMs quite a bit lately, and I'm sure everyone who plays ARAMs knows the feeling of not reeeally wanting to play the champion you get, so you go and reroll it. Well, that happened to me today. The first champion I got was Soraka and I'm not a huge fan of her post rework, especially not in ARAMs because I tend to just die a lot since people need so much heals. I had two rerolls, so I used one of them. LeBlanc. Not bad, but the thing is, I played a lot of LeBlanc lately, so I decided to use my other reroll to get something I didn't play so much in the past few days... only to end up with none other than Soraka again.

In other words, I spent 2 rerolls, and I ended up with the same champion I started with, effectively wasting 2 rerolls completely.

I opened a ticket about this and the person who responded told me they'd get back to me with more information later, and in the meanwhile they recommended that I post it here, so here I am, posting it. :)

Really, though, I do wish there was some sort of a system that prevented this from happening. Seeing as I play ARAMs pretty much it doesn't take that long to get my rerolls back, but still-- it stung, haha.

I rerolled Akali for Diana for Akali once, i basicly got the same thing 3 times

I find that I get the same champions a lot in aram. For instance, I get Zilean, Taric, and Annie a lot. I own, around 30 champions ( not including free to play champs), ranged mids, tanks and supports.

I've gotten Taric so frequently that I actually bought Pink Taric when it was available specifically to have a skin for him in arams.

I wonder what the technology behind aram rerolls is. Like, is there a formula that league has for determining what type of champion to give you and at which frequency.

for me, it's Zilean, Tryndamere, and Sion. played 13 ARAM games today, 2 games each of Zilean Tryndamere Sion

I get Zilean all the time too! I got 2 skins for him through self mystery gifts so I don't mind that much, but just placing bombs on people every few seconds and spamming W on CD (for ult) gets a old pretty fast. :P

I feel like every week there's a champion who's chance of you getting him is raised.

One week i'll always get Syndra, another I'll always get Xin, etc.

I don't think it's completely random.

I used to play aram a lot. Like way more than normals. But now I'm back to normals. But I have most of the champs, and for the most part I would roll the same champs all the time. The reason why I initially loved aram was because I could play a random champion, and get good with different champions in different scenarios.

I cannot even tell you the amount of times I've rolled Alistar Annie Ashe Chogath Lux Malphite MasterYi Teemo Veigar

Now that may seem like a lot of champions. But not when you have all but around 10 or so champs... I find it very rare that I role something other than these champions. While I don't mind some of them, others I really do not like (MasterYi).

Either way, the chances of riot actually doing anything about these issues is very unlikely as it doesn't have anything to do with SR.

A lot of these comments are on a different "issue."

My story is I traded an adc for eve so I could rr her. I got some other crappy champ, rr again and got...eve! It is bad enough by itself but to have it happen only because you were nice to someone else on your team, it adds an extra dimension of frustration.

Edit: wanted to add that I rationalized it by the fact that a rr is supposed to be as random as possible which means statistically this is bound to happen unless they add something to prevent it. It was crappy but I didnt feel like riot needed to do anything about it.
