AP Umbral Glaive equivalent?

Although Senna isn't rated as S tier or OP by many sites/experts right now she is one of the few support champions (and pyke) that can utilize Umbral Glaive effectively. The Blackout ability on this item is absolutely amazing for map control and has a lower cooldown than oracle's lens.

This allows Senna and Pyke to take Blue ward which gives them 4 ward support item, blue ward and a 45 cooldown sweeper.

In my opinion, this gives a huge advantage if you can roam effectively.

I would love to be able to do the same with etc but there isn't an AP equivalent.

Does anyone know if an AP equivalent item with Blackout is being designed? Or would making this be OP for enchanter and mage supports?

Again, there is no reason whatsoever that from all classes, Assassins should have a ward clearing item when their entire role is about going in, killing and going out. They certainly never felt weak before duskblade/umbral glaive exsisted and giving a ward clearing item to AP would just make Assassins even better because there will be less vision overall. So, no, there should not be AD ward clearing nor AP ward clearing items into the game

If anything, umbral glaive should be removed from the game. It's bad enough a jungle can't keep control of their jungle, but then to have 2-3 members of the opposite team trivially clearing your wards so you can't protect from invades is just dumb.

That's not something you want every support to use, they deleted Oracle's Elixir for this very reason. If any, they should nerf the Umbral Glaive's passive cooldown or keep the ward triple hit only when passive is activated.

the item itself was a mistake and making it an assassin item was just the icing on the cake.

I believe it´s comparable to item 3157 where the item is so busted that everyone wants a version of it, but if that really happened and everyone had one no one would want to play the game anymore.

In the end, you are probably better off removing it altogether.

I mean enchanters already items that gives aoe heals, attack speed, on hit, a qss passive, and ms.

And that is just the items that build out of item 3114 . So they probably don't need more utility items or items in general.

So I'm going to say no. I feel like there should be trade offs for picking ad or ap and with supports that really isn't a good reason to pick ad other then for a specific champion like pyke or senna. So having items like that are a good thing in my opinion.
