Poll, Fighter or Assassin Diana?

So there is a lot of speculation around Diana and her possible update. So to help settle the matter of if she should be an assassin or fighter it would be most appreciated if you would take this poll.

Funny thing about that is there's a pretty big class of melee champions that are about 50% fighter, 50% assassin. Assassins that can take a few shots to the face and be bold while diving on their enemies.

Most fighter/assassins could just as easily be called assassin/fighters is what I'm getting at, and Diana is one of those now. So are Pantheon, Wukong, Lee Sin, Jax, Irelia, Riven, Nocturne, Poppy, and more.

Also - I don't think being a fighter/assassin deal is a problem with Diana, and she should really stay in that zone.

The problems Riot has with her seems to be more the "she can do everything 5% better than the next guy" (Irelia problem) and "no counterplay" issues (DFG from stealth Evelynn issue).

For the Irelia problem - Diana has better wave clear, poke, and grants vision on top of the general strengths most fighter/assassins bring. She has exceptionally safe poke and wave clear for a melee champion in general.

For the counterplay - Obviously if you use Q first there's solid counterplay, but if you RWQA someone in the face there's nothing they can do about it. And the fact you have to QWRAER someone to match the burst of a typical assassin is mostly what's causing Diana to seem lackluster now, she was an awesome pick when you could just RWQA someone in the face with no warning. Then Riot made Q way easy to dodge by lowering it's range and missile speed -_-

Thank you for the input, and I agree that I too like her as a fighter/assassin hybrid. Unfortunately since then I have seen a number of red posts pertaining to making her EITHER a fighter, or an assassin. I was hoping that by throwing a poll up I could help provide them with a more clear image of what the community would like to see happen. Unfortunately due to the small number of votes it appears to be pretty even.

I think these fighter/assasins you refer to are really just fighters.
Assasins in this game are able to jump onto priority target, combo and then have a jump out mechanism. like zed LB Fizz for instance FIghters are mistaken as assasins because they have similar style of jumping to priority targets and trying to combo them but fighters dont have real escapes, they instead have forms of damage mitigation ( sheild, sustain, resists steroid, whatever the hell counterstrike is) They have ramping damage abilities (jax ult and passive, riven passive, diana passive, rengar resource) They have cc that is geared towards preventing their target from escaping their engage rather than for catching someone (jax counterstrike, riven stun, rengar bola, diana moonfall)

Basically fighters are mislabeled assasins because like assasins they jump high priority targets and kill them but they have big differences

That is probably the clearest and most straight forward definition of a fighter I have heard. Bravo sir.

Thanks mate, also looks like my claim about fighter diana being more popular was right if only by a little bit ;)

Appears so, I will concede the point. Although until noon or so they kept switching ahead of each other, but only ever by one. :P

I play/build her as whatever fits my team or counters the enemy team best. Although, I prefer the fighter build because she can still burst a squishy with her combo and then continue a teamfight as a fighter.
