AFK: Leave without penalty????

So, why can't we just leave the game after a certain amount of time (5 or so minutes) after someone has been DCed? They should get an abandon and be penalized while we get to leave the unfair game. 2/3 of my games so far today have had AFK's. Both being losses. We should not lose LP if it's not even a fair match since someone either rages or has connection issues.

In Dota for instance, (I don't play it I just know of it) if someone leaves they get an abandon after 5 mins, while everyone in the match can leave. Think about implementing a system so we don't get punished for someone elses' doings.

Nah dude. u can afk all u want riot does not give a fuck about afkers.

It just sucks that you have to play out the game not being able to do much and then you get penalized for it at the end. makes no sense to me.

Yeah, so if you're loosing one of your team AFKs so the others don't get a loss? That idea isn't well thought through.

Everybody gets a loss. Could be easier to surrender in such cases though. If it's not before minute 3, but in minute 5 you're basically stuck.
