Dear Riot Games.

On the behalf of the Rumble community /r/RumbleMains we would like to invite you to a friendly discussion and review on the recent changes to Rumble on the PBE as rises very serious conerns on the future of the champion. Despite our community being relatively small, we did manage to gather a considerable amount of players ranging from low elo players who are still learning how to play Rumble, to long time veterans in high elo, and we are all concerned about how the PBE Rumble changes' direction can affect his learning curve/skill ceiling, while also we're afraid of where Rumble might actually land in terms of power level. Of course, we're aware that these changes are still "Work in Progress", we still believe that we, the /r/Rumblemains community, can have some positive influence on shaping up these changes.

Best regards,

/r/Rumblemains community

As Administrator of /r/RumbleMains, I cannot disagree with Erdamon. Our little yordle has always been unique in his playstyle and also in his player-base. He used to be frequently picked/banned in Pro plays without necessarily being broken in SoloQ, unlike it happened with other champions. I really hope you could give us a chance to sort this out together.

Sincerely, Dangiuz

Just looked at the Rumble changes on the PBE. I can't even tell where to begin with this. It seems like they're making Rumble more punishing to new players who can't really control the heat bar yet. I guess the Q changes are to make him less of a wave clearing champion but have more damage on it overall. Don't know what to make of this. And why the shield nerf? Not a Rumble player, but can't disagree with you, these changes don't seem right.

Intention is not to ship rumble as significantly power down. There will be an e laning buff, because I think the gameplay of the wave being partially cleared -> line skillshot produces a lot of variant game states. May be a buff to W rank 1 shield value depending on how the e buff goes, but pretty happy with Q tuning as is.

Hope rioters will think twice before making the final decision, those changes are really really atrocious and will kill the champion for good.

Why would they change rumble?

He seems balanced in my eyes. I have never had major problems playing with or against one. He definitely has outplay potential and he seems strong if played right.

Thank you for making this thread, friend. I hope that Riot realizes the concerns of these changes for Rumble.

These changes are going to be devastating for Rumble in lane, but personally I really fear for Rumble jungle as this will likely be its final nail in the coffin. We already have few mage junglers and having Rumble as a jungler also filled the gap of having a yordle jungler (outside of those counting Amumu as one). Rumble jg never was an unhealthy game issue as a niche pick and was one of my personal favourite picks myself.

Rumble is a really fragile champ balance wise and he's settling in a good spot. I fear this will lead to another AP Kennen situation from earlier this year where he's suddenly nerfed when the meta is changing causing his playrate with the AP build to completely disappear. Ken is flexible with builds - but I worry Rumble will fall off much like from season 5-6 where he got the changes in order to do well in lane and as well as be able to jungle. Rumble was stuck with the lowest top winrate for months back then as a result.

It would help if you put up a link to the relevant thread, and also to list specific grievances there.

He doesn't need any changes, hes fine. The problem is other champions pushing him out of the meta, that is the reason hes not played as much.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only major change I see happening is no longer being able to stack Heat outside of lane, at least not with Q. Otherwise, he gets more damage with his Q, and though his Shield takes a hit, it puts it in line with almost every other offensive character with a shield, like Riven. Meanwhile, Heat drops faster after a longer period, meaning you have less downtime waiting for Heat to drop than previously. (25 Heat lost over 5 ticks, versus 50 Heat lost of 5 ticks).
