Rek'Sai Balancing and Pool Party Taunt Fix

Okay, here's the thing.

RekSai Rek'Sai used to be a great jungler when she first came out. Her camp clear was amazing and ganking and assassin potential was what made Rek'Sai who she was. Her true damage bite was able to deal with tanks quickly, her Queen's Wrath was easy fury build-up with healing benefits, and each ability in her kit linked to eachother.

I will agree that Rek'Sai was really strong when she came out. That was when they were buffing the jungle creeps and made it nearly impossible to clear camps, even as tanky junglers, so Rek'Sai was way ahead of her league. She had really easy camp clear, damage, and almost overpowered damage with her AoE damage.

But they nerfed the damage of her Q, which means that Queen's Wrath no longer has enough damage or fury build-up for early game jungling. That's not even counting invades or counter-jungling from the enemy. She struggles as a full-fledged jungler alone.

This also caused, what I came to believe, an empty role. Rek'Sai doesn't have a place to fit in any special attributes, and what I mean by that is, Rek'Sai can go tank, but she had to damage or crowd control to compliment that. She can go bruiser, but most meta junglers can easily whipe her health because she doesn't have the tank or the damage to fight back. She can go assassin, like she was meant to be, but even then, she has no catch-up to any enemies whatsoever, and no potential lane threat other than cleaning up. She'll get destroyed in teamfights, and she relies on soloing out enemies, like Kha'Zix. The only problem is that she doesn't have enough damage from basic attacks or spells alone to 100-0 someone without whiplash as punishment. Kha'Zix can go in, kill a higher priority target (maybe even 2 or 3) and jumps out back to safety. He even has an invisibility frame to refresh his passive for more unnecessary damage.

Rek'Sai however, just doesn't fit a solid role, and therefore, ruins her early, and late game potential. I believe that her kit was originally designed to 1v1 people and come out on top by doing crazy bursts of damage with basic attacks instead of spells. If she gets in a bad scenario, she has her tunnels to escape, which she needs to make a path through many walls pre-fight just to survive and ensure her getaway. If a teamfight is going down without her, her ultimate is meant to have global presence.

But if she can't assassinate, or better yet, 1v1 someone, or can't go into teamfights without being fish food, then what is the point of this character? She can't tank because she has no CC or damage to bruise.

And even if she did build damage with a couple of health items (let's say item 3078 Trinity Force, item 3074 Hydra, item 3710 Devourer, item 3111 Mercury Treads, item 3022 Frozen Mallet, ext.) She still has no catch up other than her tunnel to kill people. She can't keep someone in place long enough to kill them, nor can she burst them down quick enough to where they can't escape.

  1. Even looking at other fury/resource heroes, they have plenty of mobility, and at least one ability with enough CC to keep a chase with their opponent (I.E Tryndamere Tryndamere, Riven Riven, Zac Zac, Garen Garen, ext.) Even other assassin junglers have a lot of mobility and way more burst than Rek'Sai ever had (I.E Shaco Shaco, Evelynn Evelyn, LeeSin Lee Sin, ext.)

All i'm saying is that Rek'Sai needs a buff. She doesn't fit in her role as an assassin, or 1v1-er, or bruiser, or anything. She doesn't have the early damage to jungle, and she doesn't have enough of anything to really 1v1 people or go into teafights or be useful to the team.

And I think a great solution would be a couple of things. 1). Buff Queen's Wrath (More damage, early attack speed, ext.) 2). Add a slow to her burrowed Q and/or make it scale with AD (It has no damage whatsoever and is only meant for true sight. Lame.) 3). More damage to her Bite (it's like almost 500 damage max level with full fury bar. A basic attack does more -.-') 4). Increase the duration of her knock-up 5.) lower cooldown of tunnels and/or ultimate. (stronger presence, faster catch-up, better ganking potential, ext.)

What do you guys think? I feel that she Isn't useful in the current meta, and she needs to be stronger in order to face most characters in league. She can't be unviable after she just came out! (Behind Bard Bard and Ekko Ekko.)

Also, Rito, you really need to fix that Pool Party Bug with the recall. She goes into idle burrowed state after she dives when she's supposed to jump up and eat the frog.

Rek'Sai was originally more of a Bruiser/Tank. Q damage and W damage were both nerfed along with their scaling (Q literally lost half it's ratio and almost half its base, and now has a .6 bonus AD ratio over three attacks, W lost comparatively less at only 60 damage and .1 ratio), and the only buffs she got were to her knockup (she can use it slightly more) and her E (tunnels she just went through dont have as long a delay before they can be used again). Her ratios are extremely bad right now though, requiring 3 autoattacks for a .6 BONUS AD ratio and her E requiring full fury for useful damage (as a tank you NEED the true damage as you won't have penetration, and as a bruiser/assassin you NEED high fury for the high E damage as the rest of your kit is severely lacking in damage). Overall I can see why she was nerfed (massive mobility and presence with good tunnel placement, low cooldown spammable knockup with W, and had great bases and scalings for damage) but wish she had some other sections nerfed or at least not BOTH parts of her damage nerfed (bases nerfed hard AND the scalings nerfed). As it is right now she isn't fun to play for me since building damage is unrewarding and building tank is extremely boring.
