MLDzXnRRR1 votesHe is not OP, they nerfed him after worlds. The only way to carry with Mao is to go Ap - I've played him once and he was decent. My final build was Seraph, Rabadon, GA, boots, Voidstaff, Hydra (I was kind of trolling this game). I was 1v2ing their top + jungler and got really fed super fast. His AP ratios are not big for a reason - he is a basically an AP assasin.
terkmc1 votesI play him a ton, but Mao can only carry into the mid game when his base damage is still relevant. Late he's just a cc bot. A very good one, but still a cc bot
Hard4Hamsters1 votesI honestly think it's because he's boring. He's one of the best toplane tanks in the game, but I think he's incredibly dull to play. I would rather play 
if I wanted an OP top lane tank.
