Is Kled sleeper op or balanced?

First forum post, so might be bad/cringe.

So recently, my friends have been telling me that Kled is busted, and as a Kled main I want to be proud of who I main because, not only does no one play Kled which makes me feel more unique than other mains, I also do enjoy the champion itself and everything about him. But when my friends start telling me that he's busted and op, I start to doubt my own abilities and skill, like am I a good player, or is it Kled thats carrying me through all my games? When they first started to see my Kled in action they would be impressed by the fact that I can get ganked by the enemy jungler and 2 v 1 them, but now its a matter of, "Oh since he's playing Kled no wonder he can 2 v 1". So, is Kled just sleeper op, or is there some sort of flaw in his design that makes him balanced that they just don't realise? After checking his patch history, he hasn't gotten any notable nerfs or buffs, but instead only bug fixes, so that wants me to believe that he is in a balanced state. Also, in many patches he's not even S tier, and in https://rankedboost.com/lol-tier-list-solo-queue/ he's not even IN a tier, so thats another reason why I want to believe he's balanced. He's also only good at one thing, which is fighting. He's has no real utility except for his tether, and his ult.

Another problem is that he never sees pro play and I am curious why?

TL;DR: Is Kled just busted or is he balanced and why?

Imo he is sleeper OP , but he isn't popular so it's fine

anybody saying he's sleeper OP is just an idiot tbh

only kleds yall faced are probably mains/one tricks, which know what to do in certain matchups and how to punish your mistakes he loses scaling late game and is a horrible teamfighter considering he has no hard CC and no AoE dmg, on top of that his remount mechanic is useless if they focus kled late game.

He's got a strong early game, but only if he gets ahead early. But he's shredded by late game hyper carries such as Jax, Yi, Twitch, Vayne, and the like.

They shred everyone, so....

Kled's sleeper OP.

I think kled is balanced. A lot of people do not really know when to play back, when they can fight and do not understand how snowbally he is and that a lot of champions will out scale him. I think he is fine

Don't listen to these kids, hes sleeper op

Kled is balanced in my opinion and has been for a long time. It is actually amazing that since his release he never really needed any big changes, because he is somehow really really stable.

Kled imo is slightly weak is most cases but can get obvious 1v2s if the enemy doesn’t have enough damage output. He gets outscaled so hard though.

He's yasuo 2 without windwall

His early game is oppressive as hell

He is like a worse Renekton, similar damage, harder to get the damage off.

Not OP, but can bully the early game pretty well if played right.

He's balanced if you understand his kit. But if you go in on him when he's dismounted with 1/3 courage he'll win every time so people who don't understand his kit think he's stronger than he is.

Kled is basically a weaker Renekton. he's only really good early because he's a powerful lane bully, but thankfully he doesn't really do much later on unless you've fed him early.

Kled is extremely strong and has one of the best level 2 burst damage combos in the entire game. He can fall off post 30 minute games but considering most games aren't going that long he does really well for himself.

that's some snowflake shit right there mate, kleds pretty good though, his definitely not OP but his good because people still don't respect his passive enough despite all the time his been out.

His ult is too strong and has almost no counterplay, thats my only issue.

Xela Syab1 votes

Neither, he's all feast or famine and other top laners do his job better.

If say he's op. Not even sleepy, people know it. They're also buffing him on next patch.

The buff will make him a straight counter pick, and popular then they'll nerf a different part of him. The problem isn't that people don't understand his mount/dismount it's that there's a small window where he has that weak point and the one playing him is at least as aware of it as his opponent and will cover it up. Since the window is small it's usually not that hard to cover. For this reason, he's very oppressive.

Kled? OP?

Nope.

He is one of those champs that is rewarding to master and can do really well when you get good at him but that´s based on experience and skill rather than something like "i ran into your face and hit twice as hard so i win".

He isnt basic like say Garen or Ashe either, there is some demand you know their kits (that´s not a lot though)but success is more macro based than micro in their cases. Kled needs more to work but also has more room for plays as a result, meanwhile its fairly easy to not screw up on basic ones but it´s also hard to make things happen or carry.

I would know since i have basically been maining Ashe to the point where she is my second most played x)

So all in all as i see it, if you got good enough on Kled to have an impact, succeed and win? That´s on you.

But well with that said there are cases like say Malzahar who are also fairly basic but can initiate plays and carry if played well.....a toplane equivalent might be Jax or Cho'gath but Kled isnt like that either.

Well, I've never won/go even on lane against Kled, so I believe that he is OP.

Technically both. He has weaknesses in his kit that because nobody plays him people can't exploit, and they also don't know how his passive works, this makes him come off as op, however when fighting someone who plays or mains him the weaknesses are clear and makes him more balanced (I'm a kled main since release)
