UI vs content

Why are we not getting requested content updates and instead focusing on things like UI and log in screens when the majority of the player base pays for riot points for content instead of flashy UI upgrades that only lag the game and the log on time? What is more important, gameplay or the pictures you get to look at leading up to gameplay? Meanwhile Dominion has not been updated graphically since It came out, yet items that have been introduced to the game since dominions inception have had multiple overhauls. Hell, some of the dom specific items have been upgraded before the map was. Champs get overhauls(remakes), the UI gets overhauls, the login gets overhauls, and we have special content(I don't think anyone dislikes that), and yet one of your four main game modes almost hasn't been touched in nearly 6 years. I cannot recall a conversation with a fellow leaguer that involved UI refreshes or more dramatically animated logins but instead they have all revolved around improving content.
