Why is ANYONE going revitalize on sett?

Heals and shields you CAST are 5% stronger and increased by an additional 10% on targets lower then 40%.

Sett does not CAST any HEALS and this wouldn't apply to his passive regen im assuming. Also, the only shield he casts is his W and it's once a fight SOMETIMES twice.

So how much are you actually getting for 5% on a shield you cast once usually at the END of a fight as well?

Is there a better rune to take on him then this, or am i misunderstanding something?

Bone plating makes sense, but if they are super poke heavy or a ranged top wouldn't second wind be better>?

Sett does a lot of healing and shielding.

The shield he gets from his W is potentially massive, so +15% onto that is insane. Making every single W grant a bigger shield makes his big power moment even stronger.

His heals himself through his passive (which does get amped by Revitalize), as well as Conqueror/Grasp, Triumph, Second Wind, and Titanic Hydra.

Bone Plating actually comes out to a net neutral for his sustain, since he wants to take damage. Reducing the damage taken reduces Grit gained, so the shield you get has less health equal to exactly the amount absorbed by Bone Plating.

Revitalize gives his Grit shield +15% if you cast it under 40% HP.

Has this been tested? Also, why does that matter if usually the W is the last thing you use in a fight?

It works on passive regen. Just pick that rune in training, go get yourself hit by turret shot and watch its numbers grow Actually I didn't test it on Sett, but it works on Garen so it should work on Sett too His W shield is rare but also really huge, so +15% to that is huge as well Depending on the matchup, tenacity rune, second wind and shield bash can work too

It isn't. At level 1, he can get up to 24 HP/5 (assuming he's at 5% HP) on top of his already high base HP/5 stat (it's the third highest in the game). His passive at level 1 provides him with up to 855 gold worth of HP/5, which in itself is basically six Rejuvenation Beads.

yeah... ASSUMING HE'S AT 5% HP.

Which is not likely.

If you take Second Wind with either Doran's Shield or 3 Regen Beads, the healing is actually kind stupid. The 3 Beads strat gives less initial health but far more regen, especially when he's low.

that sounds actually terrible. Unless MAYBE into a poke matchup but not even.

The intention is to take it into a heavy poke matchup, yes. Someone with harass who prefers short trades before their all in, like Fiora. It was a valid strat for a while on Mundo, Darius and Garen as well.

So surely then if i go into game and mouse over my runes, once i start taking damage, revitalize should show numbers without me ever having to W in that game, cause it will work on my health regen, right?
