I'm Having a Hard Time Finding a Good Jungle Keystone & Rune Set

Hey everybody, hope you're having a fantastic day so far and that it continues that way.

Disclaimer: I want to start this off by saying that I'm not one to play ranked. I'm a casual person who plays for fun. I learned when I cracked under the pressure of either needing to carry or relying on others to carry me, and getting hardstuck bronze that ranked and competitive just wasn't for me. So keep in mind while responding that I'm not a competitive player, and even though I want to win, it's norms.

Now that I've got that out of the way, I want to bring up an issue that I've been having while working on my season 8 builds for my favorite junglers like Master Yi, MasterYi Jax, Jax and sometimes my good pal Mums Amumu , among numerous others.

The problem is that all of the keystones pretty much are centered around interacting with champions, and I'm having a hard time choosing keystones that can help me with a healthy clear because of it. The reason I'm not super interested in keystones that interact with champs is because I really love the split push style of jungling. So it's really disappointing when I go through the keystones that might be good on different champs, and seeing that nearly every one of them have something to do with champions. The only one I found that doesn't really have anything to do with champs is unsealed spellbook, which, on a split-push jungle build I suppose could work if you decide to swap to tele...

But that's about it. I really want to run lethal tempo but I also don't want to have to be fighting a champ to break the 2.5 cap. It's mildly frustrating, and I'd like to know what you guys would suggest. Thank you for reading, and thank you again if you respond!

TL:DR; I'm a casual player, and I prefer to play the split push jungle playstyle with my junglers, but I'm having a hard time finding a keystone that would be good for clear and for split pushing, and doesn't require interaction with champs. Thanks!

To be honest, I'm glad Riot took this path. The absence of any helpful jungle clear rune finally solved the neverending problem with diversity in the jungle: every champion shoehorned into AtkSpeed and armor runes. What I learnt by jungling is that as long as there is anything that benefits your early clear, everyone would be forced into into it.

Yi and Jax should probably take PTA and Amumu should take aftershock. Even if you are split-pushing with Yi and Jax you will still eventually encounter enemy champions and PTA is the best for dueling them. Amumu should probably take aftershock so you can become even tankier during teamfights.

amumu can probably use aftershock pretty well.

Jax is definitely a PTA user, yi can do it, cowsep was messing around with glacial augment, seemed really useful for early ganks/invades, and helps a bit later sticking to people.

If you REALLY REALLY want to avoid champion combat I recomend predator. It gives 45% move speed for 15 seconds. You can use movespeed to escape tricky situations making it perfect when you are backdooring. Its like having an extra summonerspell : summoner 11 summoner 4 +"summoner 6 "

The Domination path also has some nice tools for backdoor such as -Vision: Zombie Ward, Ghost Poro, Ingenious Hunter(this one also reduces Predator's cooldown) -Movement Speed: Relentless Hunter

Agreed, the keystones don't proc on monsters they shouldn't proc on minons but like dark harvest, aftershock, etc should proc on monsters

If you want a rune set that just makes your jungle clear better, Summoner Specialist gives you more smites and Inspiration gives you higher stats bonuses than the other trees.

why not go spellbook ? Faster Smites for early game to stay more healthy, teleport / ghost in mid / late game for good split pushing greatness?

There's also dark harvest which those stacks work on enemy towers as well. So that's also good for split pushers.

If you are having trouble clearing and staying healthy, try to resolve rune that +5 armor and +5% armor upon healing. That effect get procced by the jungle items.

Keystones don't really matter as much as the little runes because of the particular stats they bring. (Life Steal or Attack Speed.) (Damage or health.)

It's really about what you want to take when jungling. Most typically run with the domination path either as the primary or secondary, but Precision helps basic attack focused junglers like Yi and Jax.

fleet of foot work works on jg camps and helps keep you healthy and the move speed it gives can be pretty good so maybe going persision into resolve for demolish and build a heavy bruiser attackspeed spit push build might help

i dont play yi much but for jax id prolly go ffw-triumph-bloodline-coup de grace and demolish-and any other rune for your prefrense

this should give decent sustain and ample split pushing power

I know it's not the best, but eyeball collector is good for JG I know it's not a keystone, but it's a start.
