What is this grading system???

Kay, so I was JUST in a game of League right? Having fun because a friend just got me Maokai with Meowkai. Played a game and went 21/4/22. Now, here is where my question begins, ya ready? What in the literal heck is up with the grading system??? I got an A. Not even an A+ just a flat A. I dunno about you, summoners, but I feel like that's a bit underwhelming considering the fact that players could do this well and still get some pretty underwhelming grades. If a tank dies a few times and gets a lot of assists, give 'em higher grades! no reason not to, they EARNED it. Have any of you other summoners got events in which you've done a stupendous job yourself, but only got a grade that seemed underwhelming?

I think its on your GPM, how long was the game and what was your total gold?

Okay so the grading system takes your performance and compares them to other people playing the same champion in the same position implied to be more or less around the same MMR. Considering Moakai is a highly popular pick right now because he's pretty strong, there's bound to be people playing better than you. Oh, and it doesn't judge just K/D/A; it also takes into consideration CSing, putting and clearing wards, and the like.
