Kled First Impressions

I'm curious as to what people think of the new champion Kled. Here a some of my first impressions:

I like his aesthetic. He's rowdy, rambunctious, and full of energy - which, while I find him very entertaining, I could see myself turning his sound off after a while. Still, all in all, he looks good and sounds good!

However, I cannot say I like how he plays. I haven't played him much, but here are a couple things I noticed: His unmounted form is extremely lackluster. Before you bite my head off, I realize that he's supposed to feel weaker unmounted. I get that, but it's not exactly what I mean. I'm actually quite happy with his locked out abilities, and the concept of his Q. However, I noticed a sort of "lag-phase" whenever he uses his unmounted-Q. It seems that Kled is unable to move for a very (very) short period of time after firing his pocket pistol. I'm not sure if that's intentional, or if I'm imagining things (confirmation bias), but it really ruins those tight getaways.

The other thing I noticed is that remounting Skarl screws him in critical moments in long fight. When mounting Skarl, Kled's current auto attack appears to cancel, and then he's immobilized for about .5s without gaining i-frames while mounting. Suffice it to say that both caused me a bit of undue distress (I died).

Over all, while I want to like Kled, and enjoy his personality, I find him to be needlessly clunky in a most displeasing way. Still, I'm curious to know what others think. Am I just imagining things? Did I miss something? Where do you think he'll shine? What are your first impressions on Kled?
