New to azir , just got him I was very excited.... till I went mid lane against sighs... just got wrecked and I have heard he is a very weak champ currently and I need some tips and some truth was he a waste of my IP

He's still strong. Hardcore dedicated mains in Master and Challenger still have 70-80% winrate.

However, he is so incredibly situational and difficult and punishing to learn it's not worth to honestly pick him up. He is one of the hardest and most punishing champions to learn out of the entire roster.

I found both of these videos, especially the first one pretty good when learning Azir. Pretty good game knowledge, and mechanical skill required for the champ. He's a solid pick if you're good. With flash, barrier and ult up you win almost any 1v1 provided you've poked them down first. They can't burst through barrier unless ahead and you do more sustained damage at greater range than pretty much any midlaner after they've used their burst.

azir was once riots most broken mage but he got hit by some hard nerfs if you don't know what you are doing hes gonna be a terrible champ but once you learn him he is still a high tier champ
