Having trouble climbing ladder.

Back a few years ago I was consistently in mid to top gold which I carried with the "old" Fiora press R and win (I was a Fiora main and had a 70%+ win rate with her). Currently I'm stuck in Silver 3-4 and trying to carry games as adc (specifically Varus because I enjoy his kit). In the past 6 games played as Varus I've gone no worse than a "B" rank (because it was a remake), and still can't seem to win games. Even with an "S-" rank we lost the game due to terrible decision making by the rest of my team. I feel like I'm getting stuck in a pattern of consistent losses. I know that I'm better than this ELO and I try to encourage my team and direct them towards good Baron/Dragon/Tower plays but they seem to never listen to any sort of direction.

Just looking for some possible tips or motivation to keep trying to climb even though it seems to be to no avail.

Using the dodge feature/ban feature. if someone wants to play garen, ban him because hes a shit champ and is destined to lose, or you can dodge.

If youre autofilled you can dodge as well.

Varus =/= vayne, twitch, trist, draven... 0 mobility, no CC (weak as fuck ult), isn't broken due to lethality items which makes him worthless. LUL

I mean I'm 4-1 with Varus already this season and just under a 3 KDA with him as well.

My advice to OP is maxing W, completely bully the enemy ADC out of all their gold, take the turret quickly, transfer item lead into mid lane and take that tower also, opens up the map in a huge play. Also Vision is key af, I outward everyone, even my support. If I have a slot for a control ward, Im buying a control ward, blue trinket is also huge in lower elo, the more vision, the better.

Play with people with good map awareness and macro play.

You find this the most in junglers and supports from my experience.

The problem with this is that you would need to create a five man team, or just hope that the other three are good.

You can only control what you can control. You learn this faster if you are a support main.

Also if three people say one thing and two the other, the chances of the other two listening becomes higher. Yes, the inverse is also true, but the chances of getting 3 people at once that know nothing about macro is kinda low, wouldn't you say?
