They nerfed Kat too much. After the E nerf, it really really hurt her. She doesn't even have enough damage to clean up after a fight because her E doesn't do enough. Could she get a tiny bit more power back into her shunpo, or somewhere else?

They didn't nerf the E because of standard builds tho. They nerfed it because of lesser-used Lich Bane builds.
What's most annoying about the Kat nerfs, is they are nerfing pro strategies, in favor of simpler ones.
You can argue tank kat, and shunpo kat shouldn't exist, but Magic Pen kat, is the one everyone hates and complains about, yet they only nerf her in ways that barely change that particular build.

For somebody who has a monstrous team fight presence she had a pretty damn good laning phase. Level 4 or 5 Q-E-W combo did as much damage as other mages who's strength was the laning phase and dont have the team fighting kat has. She has manaless poke and being able to dish out great damage with her combo without her insane ult was too much. That is why it was nerfed.

Her shunpo was nerfed, when Lich Bane, for the first time in literally a year, was making it back onto her builds.
Her resets were nerfed, DIRECTLY because of magic pen kat(I quoted them many times, saying this) even though Magic pen build gets 4 resets in under 1 second, and Tank kat, was completely destroyed in the 'process of nerfing magic pen kat'.
I'm the furthest from wrong bro. This is just what happened, not opinion.
Edit: I don't really want to explain the merits of farming with Shunpo, they are fucking liars. 20% scale is a lategame stat, fucking liars, base damage is what they would change if the farm early game 'was so intenz'. Even though you shouldn't use your shunpo to farm unless you completely have to, I just don't see how that's not the biggest lie I've ever heard. It's government quality lying. Them nerfing the scale on shunpo has changed my lanephase cs 0, and completely changed my ability to fullcombo a ADC. Basically everything you just said it wasn't.

Only ult in the game that has a completely opposite kit, to the characters kit.
Using her ult, is like using another character. Her combo is what makes her Katarina. Not her abomination of an R.
Ult could lose 1.0 scale, for the .2 scale to shunpo back, and it would probably raise winrate.
Tbh, her reset guts, and shunpo reduced damage is sad, but the R is where she should have been gutted. She doesn't need more kill potential than her kit in 1 move -_-...

She can be super strong still if she has a team that can peel (Mumu/Morgana) or that has AOE (Mumu/Morgana/Kennen/FiddMalph) ults so she can cleanup, but she will be super weak if she joins a team that can't set her up for teamfight cleanups or tank the CC for her. That is a good thing. You can't, and you shouldn't be trying to, just autolock Kat without thinking about your team comp.
Tl;DR, pick Kat when you have a good team comp for her. Otherwise pick someone that works better for your comp.
