The Wait times are monstrous

Look, I get that you don't want trolls etc. messing up champ select. But giving a five-minute then a FIFTEEN minute block on gaming is just brutal to the player. Why did I leave the select? First game- their was an incredibly obnoxious person heckling everyone about what they picked, I didn't want to deal playing with this person so I left. Not too happy when I see the five minute block, but I waited. Second game- A silly harmless mistake, I choose the wrong mode that's all. Then I see it's now a quarter hour before I can actually play?! This doesn't hurt trolls, this hurts the average player, whether they want to avoid playing with a caustic character or simply miss-clicked on what mode they wanted to play. Please, Riot, if you read this, reconsider how you deal with this. Thank you.

With respect to dodging a troll, it probably helps if anything. If someone on the other team dodges and I re-queue, I find more often then not there's someone obnoxious in the next game I'm queued for. Someone with last pick that calls mid or feed, that sort of thing. Once I get to ranked, if someone dodges I'm definitely waiting 5 minutes before re-queueing to make sure I don't get stuck with that. The troll never dodges so they'll always be in the next game.

A mistake is a sad reason to lose 15 minutes, but there isn't much to do. If penalties were smaller people would start dodging for silly reasons like "you picked caitlyn in to tristana, my guide says tristana counters caitlyn! " or "shen support what? Bye" and games would never start. ..

Basically there are unfortunate instances but they're worth the benefits that the penalty brings.
