Creating A Champion Pool...

Hey everybody my name is VTh3ManOfSteeLV and I am currently Silver V! But to get on with the Topic I really need your guys help! I really want to know how or what makes a champion pool I can never decide who I want to main. For lanes I main JG and top but I would like to have a champion pool for all my lanes (TOP JG MID ADC SUPPORT). Like for example what makes a champion pool for example: Should I main Non-mana champs?, Should I have META picks?, and even Should I pick champions that fit with team compositions!

I would recommend watching the following two videos by Huzzy since I feel he covers the topic quite well: First, Second.

In my opinion, I would first recommend that you focus on ensure you have two champions in each lane who you can play adequately. This lets you cover two different roles from each role and that you always have a back-up if one of them is taken or banned.

I would recommend a breakdown somewhat like the following:

Top:
AD Fighter/Tank (i.e. Darius, Trundle, Nasus, Gnar, Irelia)
AP Fighter/Tank/Utility (i.e. Maokai, Lissandra, Kennen, Vladimir, Rumble, Lulu)
Jungler:
Duelist/Damage (i.e. Shyvana, Master Yi, Vi, Lee Sin, Nocturne, Elise, Diana)
Utility/Tank (i.e. Amumu, Gragas, Sejuani, Rammus)
Middle:
AP Mage (i.e. Viktor, Orianna, Ziggs, Anivia, Xerath, Ahri, Veigar)
Assassin/AD Caster (i.e. Ekko, Varus, Zed, Kassadin)
ADC: _ Honestly, you can pick whichever ADCs suit your personal play-style since they are pretty easy to switch out. If I had to make any recommendations:_
Poke/Utility ADC (i.e. Ashe, Varus, Corki, Kalista, Caitlyn, Ezreal)
Damage/Duelist ADC (i.e. Vayne, Lucian, Miss Fortune, Jinx, Tristana, Draven)
Support:
Engage/Peel (i.e. Leona, Braum, Janna, Thresh, Nautilus)
Protection/Sustain (i.e. Taric, Soraka, Lulu, Morgana, Nami)
