Try before you buy champions?

How about 3 games, bots only, no exp or ip, in the rift. if you don't buy then you can't test that character for a length of time.

You might want to check out say Karthus (man he looks cool) before you realize he has a steep learning curve. Finding a Champion in a huge list, dealing with thousands of ip, you want to make the right choice.

This is a pretty good idea. i would even go as far as all champions are free in bot games. It's bot games lol, what's the harm in letting people play every champion. I've been playing for years (took some breaks), and still don't have all the champions.

I remember when i first started playing back in season 3, the sheer amount of champions was so intimating. And then as a new player you cant just focus on buying champions, you need to buy runes, and they can be quite expensive. leaving you not much IP left to deepen your champion pool.

Now as all games, you need new players to be coming in, and staying. Not having access to all the champions may very well cause players to quit. like what if they really Love to play Wukong. Wukong fits their play style 110%, but they're new, they don't even know what a play style is... and so they're just buying champions that look interesting...Never finding the champion type they really enjoy, and end up quitting.

Never finding that Wukong...that if they had found...would have sealed the deal and made them keep playing for a long time.

Having champions free in bot games.(Or even just a trial), will not only help players stay interested in the game. but will improve the overall skill of the player base. Everybody will have equal access to champions. They'll be able to take that champion into a bot game, Learn its potential...Sure maybe they decide not to buy it, But having played it..experienced it... when they see that champion in a normal game/ranked game, they will have better knowledge of how to win.

As a new player, Fresh level 30. you really have tons and tons of things to learn about each champion. and god forsake this fresh level 30 decides to queue up for a ranked game , having so little information about the game will only be a hindrance to hes team. You know..you don't gain much LP when you're leveling, you can't really build up a big enough champion pool/ champion knowledge.

Having champions free ( Or trial) in bot games would bring this fresh level 30 so much more access to information. they would have the ability to level from 1-30 in bots testing out each and every single champion.

[slayer-jinx-catface] Riot, i can think of so many benefits to having this implemented in some way!. I cant even think of one negative impact from having this a thing. You know what to do Riot :). Make this a thing , It's best for business.

That's what free week and refunds are for. I hear ya (kind of) but it's also not that much work to just either A)wait or B) buy some rp. If you enjoy the game, Riot deserves 5 or 10 bucks, at least, no?
