because your preseason mmr was bad enough to assume winning 7-3 on placements are not enough to get you out of bronze?

Every season there is a soft reset, almost everyone goes down, even if they go 10-0. Think about it, people in diamond, masters and challenger have to start from Plat 1 at best.
