An indifferent perspective on community self-sufficiency

How can a game expect to keep players coming back with such high levels of player on player toxicity? Sometimes I will introduce an element of strategy to my team that may not be perfect, but might lead towards a win. Sometimes it's a playstyle tactic and sometimes its a direct combo sequence of events that we should take advantage of. However, when talking about strategy, which is what one would figure the chat system is solely for, I'm often met with such hateful backlash eventually leading to me personally being reported. I can't quite figure out what would be the reason for returning to such an abusive environment. People are often telling me to just play for fun... I can understand this viewpoint, however I believe it to be simple foolish talk. Losing is not fun. Let me rephrase... Trying to play a game in defiance of its main objective is a meandering of ill-spent energy and focus. It's like a child who is playing chess and keeps losing. If they cannot learn quickly enough to feel they are progressing towards the eventual win they will most likely quit. Bettering yourself at what you do each time you do it is the inspiration for continuing to keep getting better. I don't mind taking a loss, everybody loses, but it's the state of duress which I'm usually in when losing that makes the game unenjoyable. What I mean is, no matter how well I can perform, it doesn't seem to have as large of an impact on outcome. If zed keeps running headlong rambo style into the enemy team and doesn't seem to see what is the cause of the overall loss then you honestly cannot hold him accountable. However, the level of joy is diminished when low-skill capped players are a steady threat when dropping into a queue. The question is then not how do we make the blind see, which is impossible, but more so how can we help them utilize what they already have to its maximum potential? In a nutshell, we need a better in-game tutorial program or a mentoring system that rewards players for helping others and for those being helped to WANT to get better in a logical sense.

end rant

It's never gonna happen riot unfortunately doesn't give a fuck about teaching people to play the game right. So even in gold which is statistically he top 20% the player base. Which means they are significantly above average as far as players go 99% of them still don't get any of the strategy of the game at all. To them its all about that glorious KDA which isn't what this game is about. And if you try to tell them simple strategy like taking advantage of downed inhibs or split pushing they just blow you off in their ignorance and report you at the end of the game for abuse simply because you were pointing out something they could be doing better,
