So I finished my placement games a few days ago on the flex queue for preseason 7 and ranked Bronze 1, noting special but it was close to Silver so I was happy.. Logged on today to learn I had to play an extra match because they fixed an issue with the placement of summoners. So I played this game and it knocked me down all the way to B5. I went 9-2 in my placements like seriously. What is up with that? Anyone else get put extremely low?
Lord Desert1 votesBecause of the MMR mismatch in Flex Queue, you got reseted to the original starting point(pre placements). But remember this is only Preseason, the rank you accomplish now WILL BE RESETED AGAIN! The rank you get in preseason does only influnece the placement in Season 7 to a SMALL extend! (only your starting point in season 7 is affected by Preseason ranks) Sidenote: 1-2 Tier drops are completely normal in preseason.
I.E.: You were Plat 5 at the end of the season, were placed high Silver after placements, now got placed low Silver. If you now climb to Plat again, you will then only be placed in low Gold at the start of Season 7!
So dont worry to much about the current placement!

LocalDrugDeaIer1 votesYeah this happened to me as well. I ended up in B2 after regular placements. Then I played the extra game and won! I then get placed in B5! WTF Riot?? I don't understand riot's logic at all. If i have to start from B5 I might as well just quit League honestly.
