Went 9/0/1 enemy team surrendered right at 20, received an A+ on Tristana. Um, what more can I do? Was sure I was gonna get my first level 6 mastery token, then nope, anivia was the only one to get an s at 10/0.

And your CS was... ? And your wards placed was... ? And the game lasted how long... ? And your overall kill participation was... ? And your objectives taken was... ?
There's a lot more than just KDA involved.
People really perform on Tristana. Your score is a comparison to other Tristana's in the role. Warding is my first thought. 7 seems low.
its ok fam I went 7/0/7 on nidalee and got an ff at 20 and only got A-
shoudlnt have given that 1 kill to take the assist then. :^)
It compares you to the rest of your team. Its harder to get a high rank when there are multiple fed people on your team. Kill participation and damage to champs being low killed your chances.
Well, you only had 114 CS which was less than your Ekko You did only 7.5k damage to champions, which Anivia and Ekko both beat you in by dealing 13.9k and 12.4k respectively. Meaning... you ether probably KS'd them a lot considering how much more damage they did than you, or all your kills were just you murdering Draven and Morgana. You placed 7 wards and 0 pinks. You had a 37% Kill participation which is pretty okay
However you were outdamaged by almost everyone on the enemy team, including the 0/6/0 Draven.
You both did 7.5k damage to champions, yet he shouldn't be anywhere near your damage. He also had more CS than you.
If you really look at all the details. Yeah, you didn't shut him down enough, and you didn't roam around to expand your strength.
Every single one of your kills were botlane. Not one kill was mid or top.
Overall? Even though you did get more kills, the Draven shouldn't have been anywhere near you in anything. Yet, you allowed him to almost beat you in damage dealt to champions, you let him pass you in CS and you didn't roam at all.
If you want to get an S, you need to do more than just kill your laner. You need to roam. A lot. you need to buy pinks and place them. You need to shove your power into the other laners to help them win as well. (Even if they're already winning).
The reason why you didn't get an S is you only had a 37% kill participation and you only did 7.5K damage to champions while Anivia did 13.9K and Ekko did 12.4K.
