Winrates do not indicate an OP champion.

No, Twitch is not OP. He has clear weaknesses and counterplay. Chase him down and blow him up. Don't stand in a line or a bunch. Use wards to properly guard flanks (Wards can easily spot him before he turns invisible, and if you see him at a flank you know he's going to stealth and approach). Twitch has burst, but he is immobile, squishy, lacks sustained as much as burst, and has average range when not ulting.

So if he's not overpowered, why has he basically had a top 3 winrate in every patch among ADCs for nearly a whole year now?

In 35-40 minute games, he has a 60% winrate, and a 57% winrate in 40+ minute games, he scales extremely well and his early game isn't bad enough to punish him in lane as easily as you can with Vayne/Kog/Jinx etc.

It's not healthy for a champion to have a 54% winrate, and it's not a small sample size, he's been destroying the bot lane for months and months now with winrates >52%

Say it with me - winrates are not indicative of champion strength.

Riot knows that, it's why they don't just nerf anyone with more than a 50% winrate.

If that were the case, old Galio would have been considered one of the most OP champions in the game.

Twitch has been out of sight for so long that people have forgotten how to play against him. It happens. People will relearn his counters and how to play against him and the winrate will fluctuate.

Btw, he does not have a 60% winrate at 40+ minute games, he has 52% (Looking at champion.gg).

His DPS is pretty great dude... 6 shots are enough to melt anyone borderline squishy, and then E adds to that. His Q gives DPS and his R does too. If he doesn't melt you with his Q attack speed, he can still stand back and pump out R empowered autos

Getting crit for 380 by a Twitch with IE + Zerkers + dagger feels shit, too.

Yes as is evident by his #1 ADC rank 54% winrate

As someone who plays a lot of twitch, he is not "op".

He is however over tuned with a kit that specializes in catching opponents off guard. It is a combination that is generally unhealthy for any game.

A lot of people say good damage is too high early, bit he has a weak lane. They let him stack fervor and poison without realizing all his early damage is a 70-90 mana cost spell on a 300 mana pool.

They say he is op mid because he can catch you out, but any champion can catch you out if you don't account for their kit and vision you would need to deal with it (which is harder still with stealth champs.)

They say his late game is op, bit his damage is no higher than any other immobile hyper carry. He simply has 5 seconds of massive damage that feels unfair because of the long range from ult and q.

Against people who know how to play against twitch, he is average; bit he was under-represented for a long time and everyone forgot how to deal with him, so when he came back into the meta, he felt overwhelming because everyone forgot how to deal with him.

Bully him early, if you don't gave good long engage, poke trades and don't let him get more than 3 autos/4 stacks of poison and he won't have much damage. If he's behind he does nothing.

Mid game don't split off to a side lane alone if you can't 1v1 him.

Late game having bruisers dive him make it so he can't hit your backline. It can solo win a team fight if you can pull his ult off the back line.
