I have to say, I'm disappointed at what I see.
A little over a year ago now I made the decision to leave the League of Legends community. Please note that I did love the game at that point, but after two years of putting up Riots directionless, and mediocre balancing act between profits and game-play- I simply could not take it any more. I promised myself I would come back after a year and see how much things have changed.
I am disappointed to see, that it appears that they have gotten worse.
Riots policy on skin-pricing seems to be as hypocritical as ever, champion release dates are effectively non-existent, and Riot is still in the game of re-making champions instead of taking a harder-hitting philosophy of experimentation.
What makes me truly upset, is that it seems Riots' stance on balance has not shifted even the slightest bit.
They still appear to prefer a dumbing-down of game-play and simply gutting things that do not adhere to it.
At the time of my departure, an ongoing dialogue was still in progress discussing the effects of Riots stance on hardening the meta, now I see that this discussion is effectively done, and lost. Riot has decided to stay with a solid meta, with everything in it's place. Disappointing, to say the least, when the game was made for a greater deal of diversification.
Regardless, I suppose I will check back in yet another year.
G'day chaps, congratulations on the new forum.
