Currently, the rank 1 player on EUW is an account shared account.

http://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=burnedfate+v2 The twitch jungler has his summ keys on F for Flash and D for Smite. The ADC twitch has summs on D for Flash and F for Heal. For the first 23 games of this account, the twitch jungler played with a midlaner to quickly win games. For the second half games, he's duo'ing with a Lulu support for the botlane combo.

If you already don't know, the jungle twitch is RATIRL, and the support is ap0calypse (renamed to ReAnimate) These players are infamous for their association with the "L9" group, an elo boosting, account selling and extremely toxic paradigm.

In short, this is just standard procedure. Rushing Challenger and staying Rank 1 requires account sharing for it to happen, because a person cant play 25 games a day and still keep going.

Just going to leave a note here that the naming/shaming rule generally does not apply to those players who have, through their own desires/actions/mistakes, have been thrust in to the public eye. While this does not necessarily mean that the accusations made here are any truer than any others, it does mean that the public benefit of discussion of said player’s behavior can far outweigh the necessity of protecting a player’s privacy. Especially when posts have the potential to call out a flaw in the standard procedures/ranking system, but in general, there is a lot that can be learned from discussing specific professional and/or public players’ actions/accounts. As such, if it wasn’t clear, this post is not prohibited naming/shaming in my view. If you have any questions about this please do not hesitate to contact us in the Boards Moderation Discord server.

Big kudos for bending the rules when the rules needed to be bent.

Chermorg17 votes

While this isn’t the proper place for this threaded discussion, I want to note this is not so much a bending for this particular case but the standard procedure in instances such as this (hence why T1 threads generally aren’t deleted unless they’re spam).

It's Rat IRL, he got banned a billion of times and play on bought accounts

http://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=FOX94584

here is an other one of his accounts he duo with a lulu top with heal that gives him his farm

I played with him yesterday, i wouldn't even call this "playing" this guy is absolutly awful to play with , even worse than against

Penns1 votes

But he plays twitch with a lulu premade, free lp for u hehe

Malicious Metal4 votes

"Free"

My ass.

That game was pure fucking torture to play out and keep us from losing because they got set behind with their BS strat.

Ahristocats1 votes

it wasn't even free

without us the game would have ended at 10 min because him and lulu inted top and gave akali free kills while not helping mid/bot but since we destroyed botlane they couldn't faceroll the game and RATIRL had time to AFK farm top while the enemy team forgot him and let him farm

then he basically did twitch things, rightclicking people to death from 850 range

Penns1 votes

then he basically did twitch things, rightclicking people to death from 850 range

dats why iss free hehe

But howd they lose to akali top and shyv with lulu/twitch tho? Imo nerf dorans shield :]

shyvana wasn't here they lost because: -they're unskilled and only get to challenger by scripting -the akali was 2 lvls ahead of them

Penns1 votes

But wait.. u sure they are scripting? why, i can press a with twitch too hehe

Ahristocats2 votes

they use script to dodge skillshots and unenable it when they stream how do you think they have 100 or 90% win rate on twitch over 100 games?? even if a challenger smurfs this win rate will fade after nearly 30 games

or they're just really . . really good.

Although most of what you said is indeed true, you should not post it here or at least censor the names as naming and shaming is not allowed on the boards.

Ahristocats39 votes

it's not really naming/shaming

it's like saying tyler1 is toxic

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiMu8WHUe3M

if someone already made himself public it's not naming/shaming and RAT IRL made enough to be known

Who is Taliyah11 votes

Didn't know that part. Thanks for clarifying

SanKakU2 votes

It's still shaming, but it's not identifying -- naming as the person has already made a name for themselves. Therefore it's not the combination of the two.

The other evidence may be damning, but the flash part is senseless.

Just because YOU treat flash as so important that you always play it on the same key, and move your second summoner around, doesn't mean everyone else does.

I almost always play flash on D, except i ALWAYS play teleport on D. For me, teleport key priority overrides flash key priority. So what you see is me taking flash on F When I'm top Lane (or playing a mid with tp), and flash on D otherwise. That doesn't mean that someone else is playing my games top for me... i always take TP top and generally will drop flash for ignite rather than dropping tp, so it makes sense that i want tp in the same spot, i don't want to accidentally burn flash when i mean to TP!

likewise, it's very believable that a player would find it more comfortable to press F than D, and so when jungling puts smite on F because it's used so much more often than other summoner spells.

I'm not saying this guy isn't account sharing - just that the summoner spell argument is a bad one in my opinion.

GayFluffyUnicorn1 votes

That guy even makes a meme out of it. Where he posts pictures of accounts he's boosting with summoner keys swapped.

I'm not saying this individual is not boosting / account sharing. I'm trying to raise awareness that this concept (flash not being on the same key) is not an identifier of boosting / account sharing.

I see these posts far too often (saying X is boosting, look at how flash swaps places). It may be a point when flash is inconsistently placed despite playing with the same summoner spells. It absolutely is not a point when roles and summoner spells are changing.

Players should not be falsely accused of account sharing just because they (like me) allow flash to be on different keys for very specific reasons. There are several good reasons to move flash between D and F.

Rayjay Redfang1 votes

I do the same, flash on either d or f. Depends what other spell I have.

RocketRelm1 votes

I use F for flash and G for my general summoner spell.

DuskDaUmbreon3 votes

It's especially true here, because smite is the only truly mandatory summoner spell for any role (every role has the theoretical option to not have smite, with the right pick. Jungle is fucked without smite, period), and games are played around it. Games are won and lost around it.

It's not too uncommon to override flash placement with smite.

If he were a laner in both, it would be suspicious, especially with the same champion, and especially so with the same spells.

It's not It's one of the easiest and most reliable ways to tell if someone is account sharing/boosting

YOU are comfortable swapping flash around

The absolute vast majority of the playerbase does not do this

So what?

Does that mean everyone in the minority deserves to be banned for boosting / account sharing?

As I said, this item means absolutely nothing in identifying this. The other evidence means something. Swapping flash placement means nothing. It's called a false positive.

Aside from all the other things you said, which i dont know of and i mostly trust what others said, changing your summs this way doesnt mean its a shared account. There are some people that have a key for the summ they will be using mostly and another key for the summ they will try to use less often. In that case he is using mostly smite as a jungler and flash as an ADC (since you will mostly try to evade and not sustain the damage through heal), and then he has as a "less used summ" flash for jungle and heal for ADC.

I dont know who this guy is or if he is sharing his account. But what i say is that this is not something you can solely rely on to call out a shared account. Im playing mostly ARAM and i used to get sorcery+aery or comet on mages, but lately ive changed to getting unsealed spellbook on mages and yet sometimes ill go back to sorcery. Sudden changes like this may seem "suspicious", but does it mean that i share my account?

Why though? 25 x 20 minutes = 500 minutes = 8.333 hours

Karunamon2 votes

Average game length is closer to 30 than 20.. this would basically mean that they were playing the game as their job.

DuskDaUmbreon4 votes

Which professional players essentially do.

Is it possible to hardware ban(the motherboard ban I forget the exact name) someone on league? It seems like that could fix the problem.

MAC Address?

Easiest thing in the world to change.

https://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/how-to-change-mac-address/

I got computer banned from Second Life a long time ago, restarting my router and changing my MAC address fixed that. It took 5 minutes of my time.

As for IP bans, unless the person IP banned is with an ISP who has a static IP (Cable providers usually) it's hard to keep them IP banned.

I can just turn my modem on and off to get a new IP.

Tykenn2 votes

No, it has something to do with each motherboard being different, or having a set signature. I've seen it happen in For Honor, they explained to me that the only way someone could get around it was by replacing their motherboard.

ˉˉˉˉˉˉ1 votes

No, no it doesn't. You're talking about MAC address. That is easily spoofed. There is no ban in the world that will ban your motherboard with you having to replace it.

CauldronBorn492 votes

tl;dr: Yes, you could ban/ID a computer system based off of their hardware ID(s), which is separate from a MAC address. Example: Windows 10 ties its installation license to a MoBo hardware ID.

Long: MoBos, CPUs, and pretty much all hardware have a burned-in ID; basically its serial number. The most notable example that I can think of that uses this is Windows 10. Win 10 uses the MoBo hardware ID to determine if its installation has been connected to a new MoBo (which it will consider as a new PC).

MAC, on the other hand, is primarily used for communication on the local Ethernet segment. You COULD ban someone's MAC, but considering most modern Ethernet controllers allow you to override the factory burned-in MAC anyways, it would be a poor choice of ID.

Theoretically, LoL (or any game/software) could ban you based off of most of the hardware IDs in your system. Your GPU, CPU, MoBo, HDD/SSD, etc. Taken collectively, they could force you to buy a new system in order to play.

Farahad1 votes

In order to ban that number it would have to be available over wireless connection, which it currently isn't. If it was possible for online locations to easily access it then that would open the computer to huge security risks.

CauldronBorn491 votes

Hardware IDs are easily accessible. They aren't meant to be secretive. Its basically similar to the serial number of any other thing you purchase. Its used to uniquely identify THAT specific item.

An installed program, when that program starts up, being able to poll the OS for hardware IDs presents a small threat in my opinion. Its largest threat in ID'ing hardware on a PC would be if that hardware was vulnerable due to a firmware/hardware exploit, such as Intel's Meltdown exploit, and the program sent that data unencrypted or the program itself was malware.

Secondly, hardware IDs are available over a wireless connection, **assuming **you have access to the device you are attempting to get hardware IDs from. In reference to LoL: **YOUR **PC initiates the connection when you run the LoL client. By running the client, you are giving tacit approval for the LoL client, and by extension Riot, to have access and knowledge of some system information.

Thirdly, and more importantly, your PC's firewall should be configured to knock-down any incoming unsolicited connections. If it is not, I recommend changing it.

Solicitude1 votes

Is it possible to hardware ban(the motherboard ban I forget the exact name) someone on league? It seems like that could fix the problem.

You are probably referring to the IP, which is (simplified) the web address of a router and, mostly with an ascending number on the last digit, a computer connected to that router. Its the way to identify specific computers, but it has nothing to do with hardware or motherboard.

Phelas8 votes

No, hes referring to the MAC-Ban, which makes it impossible to play the game with your current hardware setup, or even a single part of that.

And no, that would not fix the problem at all, since anyone with some spare time and enough understanding of how to use google is able to change his MAC adress.

Zero Skill Tank1 votes

Are mac bans even a thing that happens? like what's the point

Infernape2 votes

In some places, yes. Blizzard uses hardware ID bans in Overwatch for cheaters. So you couldn't even play using the same computer. You'd have to get a new one.

twitch and kog, what a suprise. been waiting almost a year for the gutting of kog and twitch, any old twat can play them and they are used for boosting.
