Bronze 4 paired with Gold players in Ranked?

Hello this is my smurf and I have it to play some of my weaker roles. I began playing ranked on this account this preseason.

The placement matches put me with low bronze players as I expected. My stats as you can guess were pretty good. But the past couple matches I have been playing with 9 other gold players despite my account being in Bronze IV.

Keep in mind this is ranked, it seems to be placing me in matches based off my skill level and not my rank. Therefore I won't be able to really climb. Why is this happening in ranked?

Its got much more to do with your mmr than your rank I believe. If im not mistaken, when your mmr puts you in games far outside your rank's average mmr then you are likely to skip divisions upon winning a promo series. Idk too much though, I only play rank at the end of season to keep my border
