so i went ww top
first pick and my team picked a very tanky team behind me.
so i built tri force rav hydra ber grav boots spirit deaths dance guardian angel
and i basically couldn't die. is this a sustainable build?

Try Titanic instead of rav..
Triforce and titanic are the only damage items you need Activate titanic before Qing to have the bonus damage apply to Q (and also increase the healing because the damage increases) The other 3 items you should go for are something like spirit visage, deadmans, and randuins
I would have gone for Hextech Gunblade instead of Death's Dance. It gives lifesteal, attack and AP, which some of his abilities work with.
I would have droped the berserk for more defensive boots but yeah it seems sustainable. The new warwick has a LOT of possible itemisation atm.
You get 15% lifesteal on all AD output from
, so
+
up the life steal from
to 26% from the AOE damage and 39% on hit damage. Which if you exchanged for BotRK you get the 39% on hit lifesteal, but none of the AOE lifesteal. The passive from
is also super good at sustaining in teamfights and stopping assassins/high DPS champs.
I will say though, if you're sparring against tanks and bruisers, it might be better to build a
.
So general rule of thumb, against a tank and bruisers team (tank top, bruiser jungle, beefy support) team build a
.
Against more squishy teams, or teams filled with fighters or double ADC, I would probably stick with the
.
Honest question here: why doesn't WW build
when he has a .9 AP ratio on Q, magic damage on hit passive, and deals magic damage on Q and R?
Ok so help me out here, because both your official riot account viewer and na op gg say that you have never played warwick in any game mode you can possibly play, so i am genuinely confused because i wanted to look at who you were vsing just to find the game does not exist.
Why did i want to know who you were vsing you might wonder? because 98.9% of all top laners destroy warwick so hard in lane that by the time your lvl 5 they have already hit level 7 or 8 let alone allow you to farm up some of the most expensive items in game which cannot be done while cowering under a tower for fear of being put down like a bad doggo.
I would have went Tabi and changed either GA or Hydra for hextech gunblade, too bad you need hydra to waveclear. BTW Hextech gunblade rush on ww is pretty bonkers, spikes almost as hard as akali. You have double ratios on everything, gain a slow and heal like a madman.
If you want to be full damage as Warwick, build AP.

You will do ~1000 damage with a single Q, and heal for 90% of that.
I think Beserkers is a poor choice. The attack speed is just not worth an item slot, especially when your W gives you basically all the attack speed you'd need. I think defensive boots are the best option (Tabis are disgustingly broken), but Sorcs might actually be an option since your kit does all magic damage (it would be significantly less DPS against high health targets but I believe more DPS against low health targets, as well as stronger ability damage to get them there).
Warwick's Q deals magic damage, so you won't get any healing out of Deaths Dance that way. His passive damage and ult also deal magic damage, which just makes DD horrible on Warwick.
warwick has a lot of different sustainable options. The big thing you should note here is that in a team fight, this build would not do to particularly well. It would however be great for dueling/splitting.
Lately I've been running
with Fervor and
. Not quite glass cannon, but you become impossible to peel with cleanse and glory, and you have the dps to take out anybody fast. You could probably swap devourer for Triforce to make it a toplane build
Glass cannon is not really optimal since he has no assassination pattern, and he ALWAYS gets focused hard in teamfights. I like to keep around 200 mr and armor so that I can sustain right through the focus. Just keep a hydra and 1 other damaging active/passive and you can take out a carry even from full health.
