Does the new map make laggy computers lag even more?

My computer is... lets say a toaster, ive been playing this game for a good year now and really enjoy it. this new map looks as if the graphics have been boosted. My computer runs on 15-20 fps (playable) and ive gotten used to it... will this new map coming out with the next update make my fps drop so low that it makes league unplayable. This isn't an offence to riot, i'm just questioning if the new map will lag my computer even harder. thank you for your time if you read this. please leave a comment if yes, it will lag my toaster even more, or no it wont. :)

Honestly, this map is the opposite of toaster friendly. I could run the old summoner's rift perfectly fine, but now that this new map is out and there are icons to be collected, the game lags like crazy. Riot, you have let me down once again.

it actually ran better for me before Kalista came out. the beta fixed the issues my computer was having with LoL and patch 4.2 brought them back

I believe they stated that the new map is not going to add any serious toll to computers (the smoothness of it might improve performance slightly IIRC). Might be time to upgrade the toaster, though, if you can. It's really an amazing difference.

If League of Legends is your over all purpose. GT 740 is part of the lower class (1662 pass mark benchmark score) But is definitely more then enough to play. My sister's laptop has an 840M and has half the benchmark score but can play maxed out with steady 55 - 60 FPS.

So it's really descent for the price range. Not to mention this version is a super clocked version. So yay ^^.

Rito has claimed that the update will run the same if not better than the current SR. the textures have been smoothed and a lot of pixels have been removed relieving stress from your comp. i am currently worried as well since i too play on an older comp but fingers crossed to it being an upgrade across all comps

I've played the new map on the PBE and I've actually been able to turn up one or two settings. Don't worry. It will run fine.

A interesting fact: Play a game on the new summoners rift. Set all video settings to low, now watch carefully the map! You can see all things are one part of the map, what do i mean: the threes, the stones, the flowers are now part of the map. Now play a game on the old map and set all settings to low you can see the threes and stones are separate part of the map, they are 3d objects. So that is why i think the new vision of the map will looks ugly for people who play on low settings!

the new map for me, well l'm fine fighting in jungle but once I get near a lane I can't even do anything for about 2 minutes even on the lowest of settings, I usually play support or jungle and it's frustrating to have such bad lag spikes . and the look of the map looks to much like DOTA

Actually, my friend who runs a toaster 2.0, with upgraded spring action,and an enhanced lever mechanic used to run the old SR perfectly fine, But today we played on the new SR, and he couldnt do ANYTHING. He ended up going 1-13 because of the lag.

There's a bug in the current build of SRU. I guess it impacts some toasters more than others.

I'm personally losing an average of 3 fps compared to old SR (all maxed out except medium shadows).

REMEMBER GUYS!! The map is still in beta :) So don't fret on the lag for we are playing this map for the sake of bug hunting. Just remember that. I'm sure the real deal will come soon when everything runs tip top.

Riot said that it's supposed to run better on toasters, at least after the open beta is over, so no, they're probably just ironing out the kinks right now. It's working a lot better on my gaming PC; never dipped under 150 FPS, which frequently happened in teamfights on the old SR.
