Renekton Bug?

I was playing Renekton ADC in a match today and wanted to dominate the 'largest crit' graph in postgame by getting an enraged W (Ruthless Predator) crit on a minion/monster with 0 armor. After several attempts and much wasted time with just an infinity edge, I shopped to buy a shiv to make it more likely. After a few unsuccessful attempts, I called my Nami support over and waiting until Zeke's Harbinger had fully stacked, activated it, then used another enraged W with my now 100% crit chance on a monster and, to my avail, once again did not crit.

Is this a bug? I've played hundreds and hundreds of Renekton games and was pretty much certain that Ruthless Pretador was able to crit as I've built crit items many times (along with pretty much every item there is to build) on this champ. Or am I not paying close enough attention to patch notes and misses something?

I don't think his W crits because it changes his basic attack damage completely without even a base damage. its not on hit. so yeah it doesn't crit

they need to modify it so that it grants bonus damage so that the base damage crits
