Game play for those who have only track pads and or use touch screen computers

Ashe So League of Legends is not track pad( or laptop mouse pad ) or touch screen friendly.. which makes game play not only harder but a bit of out of balance for non traditional desktop computer user.

There is a negative chain of events that occurs because of these players( my self included)

I also noticed that while using a track pad on a lenovo yoga 11 i3 processer with 4 gigs of ram the game window will randomly minimize while double clicking.. and the game will randomly buffer lag

and before any one decide to comment on it.. Not every one can afford a better computer and or accessories but lets not open up that can of worms because i will tell you right now i'm on a set budget for life and i recently had to cut buying most luxery items from it(which includes gaming materials)..

so i was wondering

  1. is thar a way to set up the game play to be track pad or touch screen user friendly?
  2. if there is not a way already set up. how to i send a request to have it updated in say the next 3 patchs.
  3. how do i keep the window from minimizing aand buffer lagging while using a track pad during game play?

and yes i'm fed up with have a crap kill death assist score. because i am at a disadvantage by having what i have to work with..

games like league are meant to be played on desktop for top performance and have trimmed it down for lesser. Most of these games and like esports games will not be laptop friendly (without a mouse) because its simply inferior and made for on the go type of things. Invest in the right things that fit you, if gaming is your thing get a desktop, not enough money? get a mouse for the laptop, cant do that? stop playing games and make money

You can play fairly well with a laptop trackpad. You just have to be better mechanically in game and position a bit better and play smarter. But you can always buy a decent mouse at walmart for about 20$. I recommend a wired one as wireless ones generally have a small delay. (You dont notice it while browsing, but when you`re playing in game and a split second counts, that delay can kill you.)

Thank you for partial staying on topic. i asked very specific questions which only 2 person has given some advice about and or answered 1 part>

and apparently I have to educate people.. after trying too get this thread cleaned up..

  1. the discussion about money is over.
  2. not every countriy(and its peoples) disablity cost and pay rates, pay rates, etc are the same. 3 every bodies bills are not nor will ever be the same amount
  3. not every country charges the same amount for a product, good or service. for example a product from china may cost $5 but in the usa they will mark it up to $25
  4. not all Disability Acts are the same in every country.
  5. when some one states a specific thing on a forum, that is vague but relates to a post.. don't clutter the topic.. with unneccary posts> ask about it first..

LOL i had that mouse before i broke it in 2 days.. i don't buy logi tech crap if i can help it.. oh that made my day though XD

If you can break a mouse of any quality in two days, I'm amazed anyone trusted you with a touchscreen device.

Just going to point out that you can get a wireless mouse for like $5 on eBay and a wired one for $1. I played on my m14x for like an hour and just had to buy a mouse back when i only had a laptop

the game window will randomly minimize while double clicking..

That doesn't sound like a League bug, that sounds like something is set up wrong on your computer.

As for making the game easier to play on a track pad... That's something that is probably impossible to do. Unless I'm very much mistaken, games can only read the track pad like a mouse, so what your asking would be done sort of bazaar sensitivity setting that would probably only work half the time.

Touch screens could probably be supported though.

tonz: this is 2015 laps tops are now almost as advanced if not more then most desk tops now. there are lap tops that are made for gaming..

for example lenovo makes 12 gig ram lap top, with i7 processor, the best graphic card, sound card, built wirless router on the market... its $3,120 alien ware also has a lap top that is Ment for gaming,

Do you realize that you can get way more gaming power for way less on a traditional desktop? So no, they aren't. They are much more convenient for every day use. They are not, however, anywhere near close in terms of gaming. Also, computer mouses are pretty damn cheap. Like, I bet you spend more money on silly stuff than the price it would cost for a mouse.

I also got to silver ranking by using a trackpad lol. Use left hands for buttons like normal. Right hand gets tricky. Use your middle finger for trackpad and your thumb for the buttons. If you have a trackpad with the clickers on the top side, you can even use your left thumb for left clikc and right thumb for right click. I find it much easier to play with the trackpad if you use camera lock on. You lose vision advantages, but you don't have to worry about moving the mouse too much to play.

Bro, my dad is on disability and my mom works retail. It isn't about how much money you make, it's about how you spend it.

Not to mention, Let's do some math. I am currently looking at a mouse on Ebay for $0.99 with free shipping. You say that it would take you 10 months to save up for a mouse. That means you are only have to save 10 cents per month? I find that highly highly unlikely. Even if we lived in fantasy land and it was true, you say it would take you 9.5 years to save up for the laptop you mentioned. That means that you plan on getting a laptop with an i7 processor and 8GB of RAM for $11.40. Complete fucking bullshit. If you think the game should be trackpad friendly, then argue that. Don't, however, argue some silly bullshit that makes no sense.

And no, the developers don't NEED to make the game friendly to touch pad. They can make the game whatever the fuck they want to make the game. It is playable with the trackpad, and like I said, I reached silver with using one. And that was when I wasn't even as good at the game. If you can't play the game, then don't play it. Period. You wouldn't go bitching to the little league organization to make their game more "batless" friendly just because you couldn't afford a baseball bat for your kid would you? No. So stop with the bullshit. 10 months to save up $0.99. Yea fucking right.

How would you suggest the gameplay be changed in a way that does not negatively affect the experience for mouse and keyboard users? The game was intended for mouse and keyboard users so their gameplay obviously takes priority. While I doubt riot is against making improvements for other users, there aren't any gameplay changes they can currently make which will help touchpad users without either negatively impacting mouse and keyboard users or giving players with both mouse and keyboard as well as a touchpad an unfair advantage over only mouse and keyboard users.

Also, i believe the minimizing is due to the nature of the trackpad on your computer and not something riot can change. My computer consistently minimizes multiple programs due to even incidental contact with the touchpad at times. Riot can't really change that on their end.

simply by adding a setting that says standard mouse or touch pad mouse , right handed or left handed play.. and the game adjusts the settings accordingly.. for example on a right handed touch pad or mouse you left click to move and some skills change to right click instead of left..

right now the touch pad mouse in game is set up lefty..

for touch pad mouse play you just have to simply double tap drag your finger where you want to go on the touch pad mouse and it moves there.. or something designed around the touch pad mouse movements

haha funny mine only does it with this game.

Just out of curiosity, what are your disabilities? You seem to be able to play on a computer just fine, and there are many jobs that deal with that.

i don't mind answering this question but next time stick to the topic lol I have 4 including a rare seizure disorder.... which in high stress work environments only allows me to work 10 minutes at a time. with a 2-4 hour break in between.... low stress 1 hour. with a 30 minute break. no stress i'm fine(since those don't exist ,no work for me)[btw thats mental and physical with a trade off balance, ) OSHA has also labeled me and one of my conditions as a work place hazard.(but lets not open that can of worms on the how, lets just say it was a long and arduous process)....

no paying job is going to hire some one whom they would have to insure up the wazoo, who can't work a 16 hour shift, and is a work place hazard.. lol and who said i play on a computer or games just fine..? there is a trade off that most don't ever see haha{{summoner:2}} summoner 13 summoner 3
