Picking into comps

I main Zed and often times in champ select i say "Hey i main zed and i would really like to play him can someone pick a AP damage so we are not all ad" and most of the time people either don't care and pick the champ they wanted instead or they haven't practiced any AP champs for there role. Is there anything else i can do to get some mixed dmg or is mixed dmg even that big of a deal with all the armor pen items?

Hmm Idk :I. I think if you're doing everything right, you're assassinating whatever squishy is in your lane and pushing your lane, then potentially roaming to help other peoples. I think being a full anything team only becomes a problem when the game gets dragged out longer and longer, giving the enemy a chance to build to stop you. Not that early armor cant stop you early, but it isn't as much of a problem as it is late.

I was gonna say build wits cause its the only thing I can think of that does magic dmg on hit that wouldn't be awful on him...except I realized it would be awful on him...lol.

If you want an honest first response, people picking their comfortable picks outweighs the benefit of mixed damage. If a person is comfortable with both an AD or AP champ for your role and you ask, they will most likely oblige, but otherwise it is a lot better to let them pick their comfort pick and have a better chance at them performing better. If they pick a balancing pick to yours, but they don't play it well, that damage will only really be relevant at certain spikes of the game or late game when everyone is full build. The only major upside to this not so favorable choice is mentally making the team build defenses against both.
