Getting Kicked for Not Locking
So why is this even a thing? Like I'm usually choosing my masteries during the extra time on my pick. So now I have a queue time just because I didn't lock. Can we please change it back to just locking for you?

It is part of the AFK checks.
The community complains about people going AFK a lot so they are doing what they can to constantly make you engage before the game stats or it kicks you and assumes you either are or are going to AFK.
I personally like it it make you stay engaged during champ select.
they give you 30 seconds after everyone locks in plus the rest of the time it takes for your teammates to lock in.
